Say hello to an old friend.. or maybe two :P

The remade version of Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror is now available on GOG.com for $5.99 together with the original! And if you already bought The Smoking Mirror on GOG.com, you can re-download the remastered version of the game!

Follow in the footsteps of George Stobbart as he rescues Nicole from the kidnapping and unravel the mystery behind the world conspiracy! This re-release contains a lot of enhancements like three different hi-res display modes, high quality in-game music, new context-sensitive hint system, a diary, new UI and talking heads with full facial animation and voice-overs.

To celebrate this re-release GOG.com is running a 3-day promo for the whole Broken Sword saga! The promotion includes the following titles:

Broken Sword 1: Director's Cut + The Original Game,
Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror - Remastered,
Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon.

The Promo gives you up to 50% off when purchasing the whole pack or completing the collection with the missing games. When buying individual titles you'll get a 30% off rebate. The Broken Sword Promo is running until 5:59 a.m. EDT on 3rd June.
Awesome GOG! That's the way it's meant to be done.

and also... Nice, you own all games from this promo.
Have fun and don't forget to check out our next offer. :/
I'd buy it instantly if 2 and 3 were also available in german :/
Excellent promo, thanks! I already own the original German retail versions of BS 1& 2 but since they now come with alternative versions and are available together with BS 3 at the price of one single GOG, I bought the whole package now. Good thing I passed on purchasing the trilogy on sale from DotEmu a while ago. ;)

(Although I realize I'd have gotten more language options over there - but still, a good bargain nevertheless.)

That is just awesome. Thank you GOG for doing the same you did with BS1 and not separating both releases!
(Would have still gotten it even if it was a separate release, but damn this is what makes GOG so awesome)
$2.99 each, can't go wrong here. Thanks GOG, got the lot!
Thank you rangun . :)
Wondered how GOG would package this. Glad to see they did the best thing possible! Yay! Free update!
So from "my account" view there are two downloads available:
The main one that says "Broken Sword 2: Remastered + Original Game " and is 1.2 GB.
and one that says "Broken Sword 2 (Original Game) " and is 611MB.
Does the first one install both the remastered and the original?

are we going to see the 4th one in the near future? I sure hope so because my copy does't work on dual core pc's and is unplayable when I set my pc to one core

The 1.2GB is the Remastered; the 611MB is the original.

No, the 1.2 GB one only installs the DC.
Thanks, GOG!

blaknwite: I really wish EVERY gaming company could be as amazing as Gog. Now I get to play the great game again for FREE with remastered features.

I really can't think of a better site to spend my money on!!!!
+1

(and BTW is that a bauriar in your avatar, from the Planescape setting?)

I already bought all 3 Broken Sword games back when GOG had'em for the same promo back in early December. Im looking forward to playing them, and juss logged in to show my support for this!
So what about more languages in part 2 and perhaps part 3? DotEMU claims on their site, that all 3 parts have Englisch, French, Spanish, German. Don't know if this is true. Here on GoG part 1 has more languages, but part 2 and 3 don't. Will this be changed? If the German version was included in at least part 2, this would be an instant buy for me.
