Also let me explain - if you check the "Well known scammers" thread, you'll see those who only come to GOG to collect codes without participating or giving anything to the community. Now, you gain rep by posting here (+1 per day) and if enough people high rate your post. However conversely, you lose rep if enough people downvote you. Now many long-time members of GOG are now in the negative rep because of scammers who made multiple accounts keep downvoting them (because they spoke out against them, esp. in the gifting code thread), so negative rep is not always indicative of being a scammer. And neither is having positive rep - the scammers can have high rep (usually within 0-200, but I think there was one or two with about 600 rep) by upvoting their accounts because they make 20+ accounts. So the best thing is to just check that scammer thread and ignore rep. Also people who have new accounts can be scammers.

Edit: Or you can always post the user's name in GOG search box, and that way you'll find their posts on the forum. :)

Thanks! :) For a long time I didn't use the forum at all, so I had no experience whatsoever with reputation, giveaways, how people check the scammers and so on. Recently, after I've become active in the forum, I noticed some talks about reputation, scammers, ratings... so I understood that some people are just nice, trading stuff or giving away, while others simply grab whatever they can and never give back.

I don't have so much time on my hands to play games, let alone spend hours every week (or day) in the forums, but it's a good thing I opened this thread because I learned something new without especially looking for it. So thanks for that! :)
