Old games on new systems; that's not going away until there are no old games left, or it gets to the point where it's actually imposable to get older games working on new systems.
Old is relative, in five years time, a game released five years ago will be a decade old. Games will constantly qualify as old since time is a sliding scale.
As to the second point, that's why we created emulators. Our desire to play SMAC and TA combined with our current predilection to run pretty powerful stand alone computers, emulators will always have enough power to run a game we want. Everything from running a copy of Windows 95 in a virtual partition to running a complete computer, the ability is already there, this will just make it cheaper and easier.
Did I miss it somewhere, or is there a rundown of the new pricing policy? So 11.99 and 14.99 or are there more options?
They probably haven't gotten that far, any new games will be priced accordingly. Hopefully not at the 110AUD mark most new games in Aus seem to hover around, but above 14.99 definitely.
