There are two things that matter to all of us gamers: the games we play and the friends we play them with. But as more titles come with dedicated launchers and clients, our games and gaming buddies become scattered in between them. With GOG GALAXY 2.0, you’ll be able to combine multiple libraries into one and connect with your friends across all gaming platforms!

As gamers, we need to juggle between multiple clients to access our games and see what our friends are playing,” says Piotr Karwowski, Managing Director at GOG. “We believe gamers deserve a better experience, and this became the driving force to redefine GOG GALAXY client,” Karwowski adds. “GOG GALAXY 2.0 is designed for all gamers and extends well beyond existing GOG.COM users, into both PC and console platforms.

Once you connect GOG GALAXY 2.0 with other platforms, it will import all your games into one library. You will see your friends activities and online status across connected platforms. All new library and friends features apply to your GOG.COM games and enhance your experience. And it’s designed to protect your privacy – your data belongs to you and will never be shared with third parties. We see it as an all-in-one solution for the present-day gamer.

ChadeEverdark: Import all your games from PC

So, when are going to be able to add non-platform(GOG, Steam, Uplay etc.) games?
Compared to hooking into other launchers libraries this seems like it would be much easier to do.
I can't say when, but we want to give gamers ability to add any game to GOG GALAXY 2.0, not only games bought on gaming platforms. Not in a week or two, but we're hearing you. :)

P.S. you can already have a sneak peak of how it will work. In the section of popular among others, or in your friend activity - click on a cover of a game that you don't own. Then mark it as owned, and link an executable file to it.

Johny.: P.S. you can already test how it will work by going to view of a game popular among others that you don't own, mark it as owned, and link exe.
(Off-topic, I know) Does your employer pay for extra language courses? If so, you should definitely make use of it. :-)

Am I being rude?

I'm sure Johny. could have one Esperanto course on the house. And yes he should take it!

(Maybe you're a little rude but I'm complicit so I'm not going to say it aloud)

Are you sure their English is bad or if it's just:

LOL. :D We have them in-house, but I never go. ;) Maybe watching another season of Rick and Morty in English will help me... :p

shojodagger: lol. pointless.
Steam already has ability to add non-Steam programs & Steam overlay works on imported non-Steam games. And by overlay I specifically mean it takes screenshots with a hotkey & displays FPS.
Galaxy is supposed to have same overlay features, but the only game I have got them to work on in Galaxy is Kerbal Space Program. :(
Steam overlay shows FPS & takes screenies with all GOG games I have "Imported" thus far, Galaxy overlay doesn't even work on its own games. lol.
Plus Steam's UI & library display is better, IMO, than Galaxy's. (highly subjective opinion IK)

Yes, GOG achievements don't work Steam....but GOG achievements don't work in Galaxy either, so....

So why would I want to import my games from Steam, with working cheevos & overlay features, to Galaxy with its non-funtional cheevos & overlay?

Galaxy 2.0 "features" are a joke.

Hey GOG guys, get Galaxy's shit together & working first, before you ask me to put all my games in it, k?

I mean I love GOG! I love no DRM & offline installers & awesome old games & awesome new games too!
But Galaxy is... very lackluster considering the way you're trying to "sell" it.
It just isn't a replacement for the Steam launcher, sorry but true.

Again I love GOG, & am staying a customer, but Galaxy is almost pointless IMO.
The only reason I keep Galaxy on my PC at all, is because after importing my GOG games into Steam it can be a little confusing which games are actually installed in which library, so I can fire up Galaxy & see only my GOG games & keep track of shit that way.
A "game installation sorter" is the only thing Galaxy is really useful for. Well, it does have the update thing, but I've never tried that out, as most of my games library are oldies with no updates.

TL;DR
Steam features: Imports games. Overlay & screenshots work even with imports. Doesn't register GoG achievements. Muddles Steam games with non-Steam in same list.

Galaxy features: Imports games. Overlay & screenshots don't work, even with native games. Doesn't register GoG achievements. Shows only GOG games, so I can keep my shit sorted.

So that is why I import my GOG games into Steam, but still have Galaxy installed, & why Galaxy 2.0 deosn't impress me or give me any reason to change my launching arrangement.

Again, Galaxy 2.0 = joke, funny haha!
Yet steam doesnt track achievements in those games, steams library is still god awful trash and they have yet to release the update, it also doesnt properly handle all launchers loading the launcher and then the game nor do the games show up on your profile

Would love to try out the Galaxy 2 launcher, but as a big switch/nintendo gamer would also love to try see if connecting those are possible or perhaps some easy system to manually add games/time to GOG. Gotta show off my 500+ hours in botw and splatoon 2 somewhere!
