Hi

This is my first post so I will introduce myself.
My name is Marcin and I'm from Poland.
My English is not perfect so please excuse me if I make some mistakes.

Now the main purpose of my post.
Beside playing with my son, my wife, old games and fantasy I love creating stuff.
So I decided to create some stuff connected with old games.
The first thing I decided to make is a beneath a Steel Sky Pendant.
You can see the work process and the finished one here:
http://dwarfsforge.blogspot.com/2011/09/test-2.html

Also if you have any ideas or wishes what I should create next you can write it down here.
It can be anything made from paper, plastic, metal, wood...

That's cool and it looks good. Nicely done :)
Not to be a pedant.

But I think you meant "pendant".

A pedant is someone who nitpicks over small details.

Having said that, your English is a hell of a lot more proficient than my Polish.

EDIT: Oh and, cool pendant. Would make a cracking key chain ornament.

Ah, a fellow craftsman. Well, I'm not exactly one yet, but if finances stand, I should be setting up my own little workstation/foundry/forge. It's a nice hobby and sometimes you can make some really nice things. Like that there BaSS pendant. Try to make a GOG.COM logo, just for kicks.
Thank you so much.
And yes it was supposed to be pendant :)

I would like to show one of my earlier works - Monkey Island Feral Chicken Fridge Magnet:

You know, that looks REALLY fascinating. You may have sparked some creative ideas in me.

I think you really should do some gog themed ones, they look good and can create some site recognition.

One question, if I may: What do you use to smooth out the edges? A power tool or just some sandpaper?

I must think about something gog themed - maybe a two color led highlighted fridge magnet ?

After I finish the cutting I sand both bottom and top of the cut with fine sandpaper. That usually does the job and I do not have to smooth out the edges.
Very nice. Now, if you put that on a necklace and lay on your back, then you'll be beneath a beneath a steel sky pendant. :)

I've wanted to do something similar to this with my computers. Basically, to make large plates to go on the side panels with a cut-out of the animal they are named after. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools to do it.

If you can 3d model then there are 3d printing services now that will render your 3d models in various materials. I have a friend who does that.

First of all: Welcome to the forums Forge, good people like you are always welcome here

Second: I commend and admire your work on that pendant, I really think you should get featured on the front page because that really is some awesome work!

And third: Being a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series - I would like you do do something similar with this logo (Attached with this post) It would be awesome if you could do line a Round Pendant.

And here's a thought and an offer to you as well:post your results here, If it turns out Good and Pleasant looking I actually would like to buy it

you can send it to me by post which I can give you in a PM to your account and as payment (depending on your work and materials) I will buy you games here on GOG, if you will interest me, I guarantee to make it worth your time and effort

What do you say?

I've send you a PM.
I have some ideas how it could be done - I can do a simple cutout from aluminium or maybe I could sculpt one in putty and make some copies from resin. The final product will be painted.
