Round 1: The victor emerges from the Myst.
The first round of Battle of the Games is over. Thank you for all the votes, and congratulations to everyone who have voted on Myst: Masterpiece Edition--the game is $2.39 now!
However, we will never forget the 6,000 people who voted on The 7th Guest--you can get into Old Man Stauf’s mansion for only $5.99.

Round 2: Alone in the Dark 1+2+3 vs Indigo Prophecy
The clash of chillers is on--two treats for supernatural-adventure fans will fight for the horror supremacy on GOG.com. Vote now!

If you couldn’t fall asleep for hours after venturing into Decerto, a legendary Luisiana mansion (like a lot of us GOGers did) vote for Alone in the Dark 1+2+3. This game, grandfather of all that is insane and unholy in gaming is inspired by the H.P. Lovecraft’s universe and will be remembered forever thanks to the unsettling camera setup, eerie soundtrack, and a thrilling story.

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) offers a setting filled with science-fiction and paranormal elements, a plot with more twists than bag of Red Vines, and a NYPD agent and a priest as main protagonists. A wave of mysterious murders paralyze the New York City. Find out who (or what) is responsible for the ritual killings in this cinematic thriller adventure from the studio responsible for Heavy Rain.

For each day between June 19 and July 5, two games will battle one on one and you will decide which title wins. VOTE NOW! Each Round of the Battle begins at 1 PM GMT (9 AM EST) and ends after 24 hours. After each round, the winner of the popular vote will be discounted 60% and the runner-up 40%, for the following 24 hours. Bookmark the Battle of the Games page, check back every day, vote, and buy amazing games 60% off during our summer Battle of the Games!
Alone in the Dark all the way!

I played both and while Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy starts out very nice, it is quickly ruined by those stupid Quick Time Events. Really frustrating and also the story becomes quite hackneyed and far-fetched towards the end.
TheEnigmaticT or JudasIscariot - or any other bluer - the BOTG page still says day 1 of 17 at the top ;)

It's day 2 now.. isn't it?

Technically it's day 1 of the discount.
Day 2 of the competition.
Own them both, but my vote goes to Alone in the Dark.
So far nothing for me. Both of these BOTG rounds were about adventure games, so I'll wait for another ones.
Looks like Indigo Prophecy is winning by a landslide. Too bad, because I would've picked up AitD for 60% off.

Is it at least the uncensored version of Fahrenheit?

Edit: Yes, I see it is. Still, I don't think early polygon nudity and QTE sex is enough to make me buy the game again.

This is so hard. I already have the Alone in the Dark games (ALL OF THEM), and I also owned a boxed copy of Indigo Prophecy. While Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) is a great game, and I finished it several times, Alone in the Dark (mainly 1 and 3) are the winners in my mind.
Alone in the dark was the first 3D survival horror game, and it did this with environment and immersion, not fancy graphics and sound, which is quite an achievement. I was 16 when I played AITD 3 and it used to make me so nervous I would play 1 hour top, it was easy to get freaked out, and frustrated, but I would still come back to the game in a day or 2
BTW, the AID pack is a super awesome deal

Pretzelquatyl: I've heard Indigo Prophecy is pretty disappointing, but I still want to try it. That's where my vote went.
Many think the ending is rushed/etc...I liked it, personally.

ozzyoscy: 95% of people voting Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit is in for major disappointment. It's not a good sign when you can say Heavy Rain is actually better.
Yes, because the 95% of people already have Alone in the Dark. (Me too). Hmm... I don't played Indigo Prophecy but with 60% off i think that It encourage me to buy it.

GameRager: Many think the ending is rushed/etc...
Well, it was rushed. Not Xenogears-rushed, but rushed. The planned series was compressed into a single game.
Although, seeing what they make when they're not rushed (HR), convinces me that the changes were for the better.
I'm aware of how mediocre Indigo Prophecy is, but at 60%, I think I'll try it.

Damn, this promotion is going to just drain my wallet.
Going to vote for Farenheit as I already have AITD.
I have to pass these offers . I'm still broke . :( :(
I loved Farenheit, though I can see how the quick time events may put some people off.

Alone in the Dark and sequels were great back in the days, but sadly they have aged a lot...
A nypd or "an" nypd.

Yup i have nothing better to to.
