It happened to me just now. I added a bunch of debugging code to my local copy, so if I see the changelog again then I'll know why, but in the meantime I have a good guess of what might be happening so tonight I'll make a minor update which should stop this from happening again (if my guess is right).

It recurs for me randomly although I'm not certain if it is related to Barefoot Essentials or not. I should also say that Firefox 30 is just an observation of corelation too, but there may not be a causal relationship. Hard to say on that one easily. :)

Having said that, I noticed that if you click on "Open your user page on GOGWiki", it opens the requested page in the same tab you access the Barefoot Essentials menu. That's a tiny bit inconvenient, as you then have to click your way back to GOG. I was wondering if it's possible to have it open the GOGWiki user page in a new tab.

Yeah, that would be cool too! I've been working around that by middle-clicking on a random link on the page first to open a new GOG window that I can then open barefoot on and if it follows a link I'm not losing track of the page I was viewing. That works but is a change of habit when clicking on links. Perhaps making it do as-is for a click, but open in another tab for a middle-click? That would follow existing browser conventions for Firefox at least. Or even some config option would be cool. Not a big deal either way though. :)

I just came up with an idea for an enhancement to the GOG website which might possibly be something that would accentuate the enhancements Barefoot Essentials provides. On the GOG homepage in the list of Top Sellers down below, and also on the "Browse Games" page, the entire catalogue of games shows up as a list which is demand loaded as you scroll down. They show the game name on the left and on the right they show the prices if you are not logged in. If you are logged in, they show the price if you do not own the game but they show "OWNED" if you do own the game.

It is convenient to know which games you own if you wish to look only for games you do not own to make a potential purchase, but you might be looking quickly through the list for good bargains for a friend, or to buy extra copies of something for giveaways or gifts etc. including games that you might already own. Right now the "OWNED" label hides the price from you and the only way to get the price is to click on the link of every single game you're interested in and look at the price on the game card page of each game. That's not the most convenient way of presenting the information. Additionally, there might be a game on sale pretty cheap that you would not even look at because you own it or it is not on your mind and all it says is "OWNED", but if you happened to know it was $1.49 right now just casually you might think "oh crap, that's on sale pretty cheap and I didn't even know it... I think I'll pick up a copy for Bill and Fred, and maybe another 5 as future giveaway games" for example. In other words, it is always advantageous for the customer to be able to see the price and not have to dig around for it as it can generate opportunity buys, and it is a huge convenience to see all prices all the time. But it doesn't have to be one way or another either, the site could simply display the price always, and if you own the game, display some indication of ownership that does not hide the price of the game.

I am going to submit the idea to GOG Support as I think it would enhance the website, make the site more user friendly and convenient, have the potential to generate GOG more revenue from sales that people spot that they would otherwise possibly not have known about but might opportunity-buy as gift codes if they see the actual price of games regardless of whether they own them or not.

I thought I'd mention it here also as it is something that could possibly be integrated into Barefoot Essentials as an optional feature. The website appears to send the prices to the browser as they flash on the screen briefly while it is rendering, only to be covered up by OWNED tags a fraction of a second later - presumably by the page's javascript code I'm guessing. Anyhow I thought I'd throw it out here in case it sounds like a useful idea for Barefoot, or even as a separate optional script. Hopefully GOG will modify the site to do it in the future themselves though as it would be a useful feature with no downsides that I can think of.

Anyhow, let me know what you think of the idea and its feasibility in BE. :)

Thank you very much for taking the time to improve my enjoyment of using GOG.com. I've been using the older version for so long that I have forgotten what the old GOG site looks and functions like, and I don't think I could handle going back! :)

On the forum front page, would it be possible to have low rated thread titles show up in a different color from visited threads? Right now, they're both sort of greyed out and it would be nice to to be able to tell the two apart from a quick glance.
