Just my tilt, I hope they make a humorous version rather than more serious like the original.

IronArcturus: I thought GOG's version of The Bard's Tale was basically Bard's Tale "4?" So wouldn't the next version be Bard's Tale 5?
The 2004 Action-RPG "The Bard's Tale" doesn't have anything to do with the original BT trilogy of the 80's beyond the name. Different universe.
anyone have any idea when the KS will be?
I wanted to like the 2004 game. Great voices, humorous dialogue, and sing-alongs! Horrible controls, view, and interface though.

Spent countless hours in college playing The Thief of Fate. Now that's a good old game.
Very cool. Interested to see what they do with it.

That was half the fun with the old BT games.

Actually I would like it more if it included a limited automap BUT that it required you to finalize it.

Yeah basically I want it to be a PC Etrian Odyssey

That was one of my favorite parts!!
Good news. Looking forward to it and what inXile makes of it.

Good news and it will be interesting to see how this looks.
As long as they have a decent UI I'm interested. The old Bard's Tales were isometric of some kind, right? As long as it's not first person I'm ok with it.

The original BT games were first-person, turn-based "blobbers" like Wizardry and Might & Magic.

Are you serious? O_o I'm reluctant about ever playing the original Bard's Tale games now. I liked the side parody game though.

That's a pity. Never liked first person.

Their available here on GOG, you play them inside the program for the 2004 BT.

Here's some reviews of the original game if you're interested:
