Steam users had a weeks notice.
This update has made me pick up my sword and crush more things. I am happy they made improvements and then let people that purchased before have the improved and more polished version for no extra cost (unlike some OTHER games). Considering that when I got this game it was on sale (2015?), I am more than happy with the amount I paid.

Just spent an hour and a half fussing at the screen that I could not understand a single word they were saying. Had a great time. And the game does still look good.

Not to mention the PlayStation 4 version was already $20 USD to begin with when it was released over there and you hardly see anyone complaining about the price for that version. We're basically getting the same version on PlayStation 4 now on PC (finally) for the same price point, and the sale going on now for it is to encourage people that probably didn't already have it to pick up on it while it's going cheaper than standard asking price of this new version and the old version at the moment.

This game has been on sale about 7 times now since 2014, 5 times without being in a bundle and excluding the current discount they went for $5 or less. Everyone has had a chance to get it cheapo by now, c'mon to those who are complaining.
With music that is both clean, fresh, innocent and invigorating; (Ok, that's four...) and the action literally kinetic, I seriously doubt that you will not be motivated to play this 'til your fingers/thumbs ache! While this isn't my favored genre, it does bring back some cherished memories from my youth, so into the wishlist it goes as gog has been too busy brutalizing my wallet!
So the new listprice is 16.99 euros ? so what, it's still < 25 euros if i liked this game or games like this, i would pay 16.99 for it and with all the modifications 16.99 is not expensive, a listprice >25 euros thats expensive, some games are 29 or 39 euros which is way too much for any game.

Anyway, 16.99 is normal decent listprice for a modern game with all the significant updates.

Just tried it myself. I tried to look at the subtitles for the dialogue and additional text at the same time ... sigh ... I guess I will have to replay the prologue again. Luckily no crackling music for me but I really don't know how to lock on enemys using the right stick since it does not seem to do anything :(

Edit: I attached a screenshot of the config (set to default) - is this normal?

Hikage1983: Imagine coming home after a night out drinking and reading this newspiece.
Thank you for the free upgrade is all i have to say!
As others have pointed out, it's not a free upgrade, they increased the price of the base game, so new cxustomers have to pay for what should just be a patch.

I suspect Sony forced PS4 price parity here, this is one of the downsides to console indies.
We are seeing way to many bug patches labelled as "Upgrades", and giving it to existing owners "free", simply limits the outrage.

You got it free, because it would be righfully slammed as ripoff DLC if you had to pay.
Hiding that "DLC" in the game, avoids such outrage, unless you know they upped the price of base game.

It's never acceptable to charge for patching the base game, and if it's not sold as DLC, it's a patch, and nothing but a patch.

Owners should be outraged that new customers are paying for that patch, they get as a right.
Not thanking the devs, for not charging them, as well as new customers.

I have no idea if I would like this game, but now, I'll never give it any consideration.

cool
Still no dubs into other languages?

My big issue with this game was that (by nature of it being a scrolling shooter) you have to really concentrate on the your character at all times. Thus whenever the characters spoke in the midst of gameplay, I could never glance away to read the subtitles and follow the story without getting myself killed.

Yeah. Many people had the same problem and most ended up with ignoring the story and watching it afterwards in a youtube video.

Could PLEASE anybody check if this is normal? Please?
What did they do to the keyboard controls? Z, X, and C aren't even recognized anymore. Why on earth would you rearrange the buttons to V, B, and N?

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

I just tried it myself and I don't think there is any way to fix this other than using third party script tools like GlovePie. You have three different keyset possibilitys but Z,X,C is not possible anymore. Don't know why they changed this - maybe because of different keyboard layouts in different countrys?
