We've just posted the answers from Aaron Conners about the Tex Murphy series and we're ready for another Q&A session. This time we're taking on a recently released series!

After years of being widely unavailable, Little Big Adventure, one of the best action-adventure series on the planet, has been re-released at GOG. The rights for LBA games went back to one of the developers, and thanks to this we're able to ask them some questions about the series. This time not one, not two, but three people involved in the process of creation of the game will answer your inquiries! Didier Chanfray, co-founder and art director at Adeline Software, Frederick Raynal, co-founder and creative director at Adeline Software and Sebastien Viannay, lead programmer, will answer all kinds of questions concerning the Little Big Adventure.

Please post all questions in this thread. As usual we'll be picking 5 most interesting questions from the comments and send them over to developers. We know that's enough of an incentive for all fans of those games to ask their questions, but as we like to reward you for your work, we'll be giving a free game to the authors of the 5 chosen questions. Remember to post them until Thursday, November 3 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

GinoACosta: Hello,
Would it be possible to either:
Release the source code and/or make a version of LBP1 and 2 to be sold on Steam and include Steamworks achievements? And, would it be possible to make a LBP3 game to sell on Steam, again, with Steamworks achievements, as well? Steam seems to be VERY friendly to Indi developers, and it would probably not be too hard to port the games over.
Recently, Phychonaughts was updated on Steam to include Steamworks achievements.

What's sad today is risk taking seems to not be rewarded, and publishers avoid taking risks. Yes I've seen some truly wonderful Indi games, especially on Steam. Steam seems very able to take risks, so this would be awesome if you could get these games on Steam.

Thank you.
I'm sorry but you do know that this is not Little Big Planet right ? and that this developer was no indie dev ? It would be cool to add achievements but I dont think they will add them to a game this old.
If you were to make Little Big Adventure again today, what would you change? What challenges did you have to overcome during development that you know how to solve now, or are no longer an issue with modern technology? What kind of things were left out due to technical limitations or time constraints that you would like to have seen in the final product?
What do you believe is responsible for the dearth of adventure games in the present gaming market, and what can be done about it?
What on earth was the inspiration (or ingested substances) that led you to the name FunFrock for the main antagonist?
Hello!
Thank you for these diamonds.
My questions:
1. What development tools you used?
2. Are you planning to release a 3rd sequel or a similar new game?
3. What 's your thoughts about mobile gaming?

Thank you.
If you still own the rights to the two games, have you considered getting them ported to console online stores?

I would love to play them on XBLA!
Simple question, potentially complicated answer:

As someone who has been in the business since virtually the cradle of gaming as we know it today, how has the role of the developer changed in your eyes?
Simple question, simple answer:

Did you really thought that LBA1 could be such a success?
Hi,

I know that I haven't found a game since that has had such a recognisable essence - from the look to the music to the world. All of those elements seem to come together into a really cohesive image, and I think you were really successful at maintaining that particular design. So my question is, what were some of the things that influenced the way the art, story and overall atmosphere were designed?

Thanks
What inspired you to make a game against an iron fist system?
Why do you think, today, we don't see much games (of any genres) with funny contents as it was used to be back to the time of LBA?
Hi. LBA 1 and 2 were brilliant games in their time, but if you decide to make another sequel, what changes need to be made to follow actual trends?

A very short question: "LBA3... When???" Or at least tell us just a little bit what happened after the great LBA2 ended?
Where did you get the inspiration for the "attitude system" (aggresive, athlete, sneaky...) from?
I would like to ask Didier Chanfray what's the word on the 'remix' for touch-pad devices? Can he disclose any info on that?

Also i would like to ask Frédérick Raynal if Little Big Adventure 3: Genesis of the Stellar Entity has entered production now that they've got the rights to LBA back.
