It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Just recently (past week or two at most I think), GOG.com's had some buggy script (or three) that executes under Internet Explorer, but locks up Firefox for maybe 20 seconds three times (each time Firefox pops up a message about a script being unresponsive and allowing you to kill it).

I normally use Firefox, but for testing tried I.E. and Chrome too. I.E. runs it fine, Chrome does worse than Firefox, just plain locking up for 10-20 minutes before giving you the option to kill the whole site.

I've reported it to GOG...should be super easy to duplicate, but just wanting to double check with others. I don't want them to lose sales!
I have the same problem with Firefox. It happens on the GOG homepage for me; no where else.
Happening for me today. Any time I go to the gog.com main page, Firefox locks up using 100% CPU and I have to kill it.

FF 36x just updated

i wanted to wacth a game review of a game thats on GOG, when i want to make fullscreen youtube i get pure virtual C ... bla bla function call

then a msgbox pops up to kill or continue the unresponsive script

if its FF i dont mind, i just hope that ff did not messed up some win7 stuff.

btw i had those messages also in FF 30x but after eacht 2nd update the problems were gone, seems that now after the update they are back in town.

FF also messes up sometimes if a site uses silverlight like paysafe site seems to use.

But since i dislike IE and hate Chorm browser i keep up with the probs FF has, afterall i have to choose the least worse so thats FF , set as default browser since version 3.4

I see that a lot when using Firefox (Linux Mint.) It's a lot worse if I turn the page zoom up to 150%-170% which is typically the setting I use when arm chair browsing.
The GOG frontpage takes one core to 100% in Firefox for me. Chrome works fine though, 5-20% CPU.
I'm getting this in Opera 11.64 and Opera 12 too!

Is a bit annoying as, normally I'd just disable JavaScript, but GoG's website has no HTML fail-over and I can't even access links to my library or submit a post without JS enabled.

I would love for GoG to be much less JavaScript dependent TBH... All the fancy in-line update stuff is nice but hardly necessary...!

Been having the same problem, but on other sites. I reset Firefox to defaults which helped a little, but certain sites just seem to lock up a lot (especially if I open more than one window).
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Seems to be better today; Opera 11's loading the page at it's normal ninja speeds \o/
Sometimes happens with IE, it crashes the tab and doesn't let you post or do aything.
