Pheace: lol. I'm the blinded fanboy just because I didn't lag? I guess the possibility that the 'lag' was in some way due to something on your end is absolutely impossible, am I right?
No, you're blinded fanboy because you see how that could be unacceptable from my point of view. I'm not really big on multiplayer, and my connection just has it's moments. It wouldn't really be much work on part of Blizzard to make solo-only characters, that would be playable offlined and couldn't be used online, thus, unacceptable.

I'm sure it wouldn't be, but I perfectly understand (partly) why it's not being done. This basically opens the venue to cheated items and duplicated items, and that goes right against what they are trying to do with the AH. They need to keep cheating and duping under control this time because of that. For that reason alone it's already infeasible. (I fully understand that those who don't care for the AH are annoyed that part of the game is affecting them)

Pheace: ...
Yes, that's another thing. If I want to cheat in solo, I should be able to. As I said, they should have made offline characters that can't be used online. And can be used via LAN play (AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Ahh yes, solo offline characters with cheated items on a LAN is such a big market these days. I forgot about them...

How exactly having an offline mode with offline character (of course with HUGE disclaimer explaining that offline characters won't work online for the retards who would otherwise be unable to understand it or would change their mind after 1 hour of offline play) would "open the venue" for cheated items ?

That makes no sense, does having an offline mode in Starcraft 2 really completely destroyed the multiplayer part of the game making it unplayable because of cheats ?
This post could be a little controversial but to you long time Diablo players: Did you played the Single-Player in Diablo II more than the Multiplayer, because I doubt it. if my brother played Diablo II's Multiplayer more and the fact that it's servers have been up and running for this long then I do not see the problem of Diablo III with this Always Online DRM since I'm pretty sure most of you guys plays Diablo online anyway since Diablo III is now more multiplayer focused.
Diablo III is a multi-player game, you can play solo. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

It is going to sell well no matter what, so this thread is really just pointless.
I'm not boycotting Diablo III. I'll gladly buy it, but ONLY when it is available DRM-free from GOG (and costs no more than $9.99). Under those (very reasonable) terms, I see no reason to boycott any game.

Hence why i said it was *part* of it. I do agree offline characters would get around that. But yes, it's still a form of DRM in any case of course.

Okay Diablo was always a single player game with a optional multiplayer component, so to change that and force alot of us who really could careless about online play is just stupid. Diablo is not a MMO nor should I have to play it as such so yes the always online DRM is stupid, plus how much you want to bet that their console versions will have a dedicated Single player to it.

if blizzard has not release any titles on steam or even origin then what makes you think it will come to GOG especially if you think they will release it DRM Free
I remember similar boycotts with other titles. CoDs, BF3, ME3, SC2. Surprisingly all those games turned out to be big hits. People complain and then just go and buy the game anyway.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. No need to tell that to everyone.

This is basically a topic about reasons not to buy Diablo III. Those are mine. I don't give a rat's ass about how big of a market I am.

Yes, slightly. The rest of the time I played Diablo II was with my nephew via LAN.
