I've seen a couple of WW2 like Letters from Iwo Jima, The Pianist, and of course Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers but I never seen one where it takes place in the Eastern Front from the Russians perspective so any recommendations preferably one where the Russians speak Russian and not English with fake Russian accents the same thing goes for the Germans

There is not much WW2 in there. :P

Also other than others have suggested, I can only think of some our (and Polish, Russian, etc.) old movies, though they were more of a Soviet propaganda than an actual movie. You know, heroic Soviet soldiers defending Mother Russia against those evil Germans and such.

Reading this, three brilliant but unfortunately not well known movies come to mind:

Idi i smotri
Ivanovo detstvo

They are a must-see for everyone interested in war-movies or cinema in general.

If you want Pacific Theatre then Tora! Tora! Tora! & The Thin Red Line are pretty good (though the latter is a bit artsy)

Yeah I remember watching the History Channel about Stalin where their was a mini movie that showed Stalin arraving at Berlin just minutes after the Red Army conquered it and everybody cheering Stalin's arrival. classic propaganda The best will forever be Letters from Iwo Jima and HBOs The Pacific imo

But the worst movie about the Pacific theater is Pearl Harbor

Yeah Letters from Iwo Jima was brilliant.... The Pacific was really disappointing though. It was an ok series but NOTHING compared to Band of Brothers. The Pacific spent far too much time focused on trying to shove the physical & psychological effects of war down our throats (something which felt natural in BoB) and some of the episodes felt a lot like filler or poorly placed in the sequence.

These movies are actually something like "a scene of some battle filled with strong pro-Soviet bias".

There's a Finnish movie that's really good. Showed from a Finnish perspective.

Unfortunately I've forgotten it's name so I'm posting about it to hopefully jar someone's memory.

Edit: The Winter War. Maybe? I'm guessing. :P Darn! Where did I put it?

Ironic eh saving private ryan was all action and less story, band of brothers was a balance between the two, The Pacific was all story and physical and Psycological effects of war plus filler and less on the action
