I would be, if I had the money :P
That's the main drawback in comics. Prepare to open up your wallet if you want to become a fan and now we have continuity, I'm fine with it bit it can be hard to keep track of the events that happen in any series.

A little bit into these. I like war comics more. NAM magazine, NAM, Sgt. Fury and Sgt. Rock (although, it's hard to find these in bulk for anything, and with my current spending habits/mindset I find it harder to buy individual comics for 6-10 dollars). I like manga for different things, like comedy, slice of life, and adventure/action. I have a 70s ish Superman around here, not great condition though. Some of the things I had when I was really young, but after a while I started keeping them in boxes and the plastic. Also have a ton of Black Hawk from this lot I bought. Unknown Soldier is also good. Three or four first print Omega Men. A good bit of Star Wars comics my dad gave me.
Manga wise I really like Black Cat (unfortunately, Borders closed before I could get many of those), Chibi Vampire (I don't own any of those), Vinland Saga (this is really good, almost exactly like a Saga, but with less crude humor and more modern presentation), Drifters (really good), Bakuman (although, I only own 8 of these), and a single Bleach volume I bought as a gag gift for someone else that I never gifted. While I'm talking manga, anyone read Wolfsmund? I wanted to look into it, but I can't find it where i live, so I'd have to order for it and that might be a bit much hassle for something only pretty good or decent.
Unfortunately, I can't collect too many comics anymore but I make splurges occasionally for manga. All that, and I like anime and video games too. Oh my wallet.
Not sure how much off gaming discussion is tolerated here at GOG, I'm still new to these forums, but would there be interest in a thread with daily updates of all the digital comic book sales? I maintain threads at 5 different sites with every Comixology and Dark Horse sale and freebie updated, and it'd be simple enough to cut and paste my data to here as well.

If that includes freebies and deals from http://comics.drivethrustuff.com/ and similar dowloadable comics, I would mark it as a favourite.

I occasionally post other sites, but mainly stick to 'the big two' of Comixology and Dark Horse. I only have so much free time. But how about this: I post what I normally do and you contribute from those sites? It takes a village....

Well, I can't make promises but I would surely end up posting about anything I would come across.
:-)
When I was younger my brother got hooked on comics and collected for many years. I wanted to be like him so I started but lost interest very quickly. When he passed in 09 I inherited his collection. Sad to say I have no pulled any out of their plastic to read. My favorite was Impulse.
If I had more money and it didn't cut into games I'd buy more comics.

As it is I mainly read graphic novels for the most part.
A few I really like are:
Batman: The Long Halloween
Kingdom Come
The Darkness Omnibus
X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills
I consider myself lucky because I bought a trade paperback of A Death in the Family and The Judas Contract will arrive next week.
I read a lot of comics but most of them are classics. Keeping up with Marvel and DC today is a complete pain in the ass because of the expense, and I have to admit that I just don't like the sensibilities of their comics now. Thankfully, Marvel at least has been pretty good at reprinting their Silver Age works in recent years, so I just buy and read those and happily ignore whatever crap they publish now.

Lately I've also been buying a lot of reprints of Prince Valiant, Carl Barks, Nexus, Airboy, EC, etc.
