McDon: It's just mainly it's far too overrated and being on Steam means it's usually being compared to games of greater quality (in most gamers' opinions.)

Braid is on sale for €2.50! Why would you get Angry birds when you have that? Plus angry birds is free on you mobile.

Ki11s0n3: I own Braid already and have beaten it, it is a pretty great game, and I haven't played Angry Birds Space yet
If you played one Angry Birds you played them all to be honest IMO but I'd suggest you check out games that I think are better worth your €4 on Desura but in the end it's up to you.

You don't need the client if that's what's stopping, Desura games can be downloaded DRM-free I think. You should check it out, I recently decided to use Desura and it's brilliant. It's to indie game what GOG is to classic games.

We need edutainment if Oregon Trail and SimAnt are considered edutainment, those were classics.

Yeah I may at some point

Ki11s0n3: since I am so bored right now I would actually buy it, but sadly I don't have $4 so bored I get to stay.
It's currently free for iPhone and iPad. You don't need to buy everything from Steam. :P

Except I don't own an Iphone or Ipad

Actually, I would. At least Angry Birds is more mentally challenging than Braid and has none of the pretentiousness. It must be one of the most overrated games ever, but of course I ended up buying it because everyone guilt-tripped me into it. I got it on a Steam sale and I still feel ripped off. Angry Birds is nothing more than a nice distraction on your phone when you are waiting at the doctor's office or waiting for the bus to come and that's fine, at least it does something right. I got it yesterday for free on my iPad and while it's not exactly my cup of tea I can at least see what the appeal is.

tinyE: Am I the only one who has never played Angry Birds? I feel like I was back in gradeschool and everyone gave me shit because I was the only one in the class who hadn't seen "Back to the Future".
You are doomed, there is no hope for you! :P
Oh yeah, a game got added to a game distribution platform!
Angry Birds 1: 186/189 stars from the first episode(?) and 4 more episodes to go.

Now this is the reason people need expensive cell phones, never mind the calenders and "smart funciontions" - its the facebook and casual games that drive the technology ;)

Wishbone: Plants vs. Zombies on Google Play

Was there a point to this?
THAT is great news! I didn't even realize PvZ was on Android too. I tried to find it earlier from GooglePlay because to me it is the kind of casual-ish game that is even more at home on tablets/smartphones than PC, even if it is addicting also on the latter-

And now it is there, I don't know if I didn't just find it earlier from the sea of similarly named apps, or if this is a recent Android release.

I'd prefer to get it DRM-free from e.g. HumbleIndieBundle though, but maybe it never enters there.

1. Yes, it's been there for quite a while.
2. No, given that PopCap is now owned by EA, I'd say the chances of it showing up in a Humble Android Bundle are slim to none, but you never know.

Vitek: So you made post with only link to game in another store and the real meaning of it was:
"GOG, look, your competitor started to sell very popular casual game and you know I love casual games and promote them left and right. So I would like to point this out to show how your are losing a lot of money by not selling casual games while Steam does. You should reconsider your position and start selling them." Is this right?
You are wrong , because i don't want to see any Angry Birds games on GOG .

I played the free version on Chrome for a bit - was not impressed. Maybe touch controls are required for enjoyment?

Then again, I can't even get into Plants vs Zombies for some reason, find more standard tower defense games like Defense Grid far more to my liking.
