mrkgnao: Are you sure you didn't have Arena and Daggerfall before? They come with many other Bethesda games you buy, not just Oblivion (e.g. most Wolfenstein games, all Doom games, all Elder Scrolls games, all Fallout games, all Quake games, etc.).
The 3 Fallout games, that were renamed to Classic and delisted, failed to include Arena and Daggerfall.

Fallout 2 Classic
Fallout Classic
Fallout Tactics Classic

That's true, because they were added to GOG years before Arena and Daggerfall. In fact, IIRC, they were the first three GOG games (GOG game IDs 1, 2, and 3).
(Reviving this thread because I couldn't find a better one and I don't want to bloat the forum with a potentially small thread.)

Does anybody know if the games that activate on Origin work without the launcher, by any chance?

Probably depends on the game. But from my experience Origin games are easy to get around the launcher.

I know of at least one program that I think works around it. Something called Vor-something, not 100% sure of the name. I think a quick Google will bring it up.

That being said, I've used the launcher to play ME1 LE (currently playing DA2) and it wasn't too bad once I tweaked all my Origin settings until I only had the minimal amount of features turned on. My fans were also revving up something fierce during gameplay of both ME1 LE & DA2 and only eased up when it when into some static screen like the menu or inventory, etc.

But I did find a work around using Nvidia control panel and setting the FPS (framerate setting) from Global to a custom 59hz and that solved it. I had to do the same for Steam version of Skyrim LE for a slightly different reason.

My default monitor has 144hz refresh rate. Oh, I do play it in Offline mode, not sure that makes any difference.

Is the timing of this question due to Amazon Prime Gaming giving away of some Origin games? I went to claim one and realized it wanted me to link my Origin account. If the link can be undone afterwards, then I may claim two of the games. (already have ME LE)

I meant the 3 games currently on Prime, yeah.
And apparently, you can unlink it afterwards.

That's good to know about the unlinking. Hopefully it's an easy process, though I'm not sure I'll do it anyway, since I already own the game i most wanted. :)

GOG game on amazon prime gaming for 2022 Sep.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition

Rumors say a Middle-earth: Shadow of War GOG vgame key
will be part of the October 2022 Amazon prime gaming list

A note to the moderators: As I am talking about a possible vgame on GOG,
I consider I am not breaking your recently imposed CoC stuff.
But if your personal criteria consider this post as a promotion of other stores,
you have my blessing (lol, not needed at all... but bare with me)
to go ahead and censor/delete this post -as long as on your edit/deletion-
you indicate how/what exactly it broke
That request in my best interest to understand your CoC interpretations. Thanks
The new games for October are announced (to be unlocked on Oct. 3rd):

- Fallout 76 --> Key for the Microsoft Store
- Total War: Warhammer II --> EPIC Store version
- Middle-Earth: Shadow of War https://www.gog.com/game/middleearth_shadow_of_war --> maybe the GOG version?
- Glass Masquerade: Origins --> Legacy Games version
- Loom https://www.gog.com/game/loom --> Amazon version
- Hero's Hour https://www.gog.com/game/heros_hour --> Amazon version
- Horace https://www.gog.com/game/horace --> Amazon version

It's still a little early in the day, so they are not unlocked yet, therefore I can't tell if there is a GOG key on offer again (though I assume, "Loom" could be a candidate for a GOG key).

Edit: now, with ME - SoW available on GOG, this seems to be the most likely GOG-key candidate.

I wouldn't complain about it - that's one game I don't own anywhere, yet.

Edit 2: the games are online now...M-E: SoW isn't amongst them (yet).

Unlikely. They also gave away Monkey Island 2 SE and The Dig in the past months, but only on Amazon Gaming, no GOG keys for those. Odd though that they follow up on the GOG key for Shadow of Mordor with Shadows of War, which is not on GOG (otherwise that would have been the most likely candidate, IMO).

Well, now it is on GOG, so that is a new very likely candidate. :)
Shadow of War is not among the games (yet?). And so far, no GOG key. The MMO Fallout 76 has to be redeemed on the Microsoft Store, Glass Masquerade: Origins on Legacy Games, and Total War: Warhammer II can only be redeemed by linking your Epic account. Pretty underwhelming offering, one can only hope that the missing games will be added during Prime Day at least.

Last month Shadow of Mordor on GOG was offered a day later than the rest. Probably the same will happen this month.
The last game is unlocked: Middle-Earth: Shadow of War https://www.gog.com/game/middleearth_shadow_of_war is available under Amazon Prime Gaming as a GOG key.
