We're launching the weekend early this week as good things should last longer. You've been waiting for this promo for a while, and it's finally here!

You knew this day will finally come, and at last you can grab the great Dungeons & Dragons classics, including Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment or Neverwinter Nights, for prices so crazy you have to figure that we're Chaotic Neutral. With this deal we're also testing a totally new promo system that gives you a bigger discount the more games you buy in one order. We're starting with a 20% discount if you buy one game from the offer. Every another game from the promo that you add to the order increases your discount with another 5%, so 2 games get you 25% off, 3 games get you 30% off and so on, until you get a 60% discount on your order of the whole D&D collection. Of course if you already own some of the games from the promo they will count towards your final discount!

The promo ends on Monday, September 26 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, so there's no time to lose, and you'll never know when a similar occasion will happen again.

Psyringe: Good advice. However, if you're using EasyTutu, have a look at this new version: it's still in beta, but works directly on a GoG installation of the games. The original installer works too, but you have to adapt/copy some files in your GoG installation before.
Thanks for posting this, I wasn't aware of a new installer, haven't touched BG in a while.
wow how. taking BG series :-) and maybe IWD but I already have them on iwd complete pack... :-/
I already have Neverwinter Nights and Temple of elemental evil. never played any of the others and would love to, but my child needed a crap load of stuff for school so i cant get a game until next week at the earliest. i do like the idea behind the new promo system though.

MaridAudran: I can't be arsed to read 20 pages of this thread in what has to be the biggest amount of comments ever to accompany a promo sale...I can only imagine the amount of whinging going on. I wonder if GOG has a higher percentage of penny-pinchers or the desperately poor compared to other websites. In any event...
I guess you haven't seen the news. It is reported that 16% of all Americans live below the poverty level and that over 20% unemployment so I'd say there are a lot of "penny-pinchers" that is just the US alone. Europe maybe in worse shape or the same so many people don't have more to spend now days.

I really don't think the people you just described would be on the internet buying games

Just my .02 cents

Anarki_Hunter: Goggle search the file names I put up, or the mod's name. You will find them on the web..

-Edit-

Nvm..I searched them for you; I put up the below links as per the order I mentioned above....Also you will need to read any readme or installation procedure to install them.
Thank you, sir.
I just want to chime in and say that I love the idea of the graded scale; heck, it got me to spend more (I probably wouldn't have picked up anything, maybe rebought BG1/BG2, but seeing the percentages get smaller inspired me to buy more and more...).

+1, thank you.

Or if they are here maybe they should re-evaluate their time priorities rather than spending it blanching about paying $5.00 vs. $6.00 or $8.00 vs. $10.00 for this or that game, as that's the least of their burdens (or should be).
After pondering over the entire weekend, I finally bought the entire pack at the last minute.

However, I'm not happy with the new promo system, nor am I 100% happy with my purchase.

Usually, I feel great (if not awesome) after a GoG weekend discount.
In fact, that's why I keep coming back.
But this time, I don't feel good about it, as I only wanted 3 of the games in the pack. Sure it's still a great pack deal, but buying just 3 would not have been as good a discount.

Call it my selfish sense of entitlement (I did however, purchase the pack), but I much prefer the older discount system. And since the GoG team said they are still "testing" this new system, I would like to voice my dissatisfaction in this post.

I'll continue to support GoG, although I hope single-title-buyers (like myself) will not be forgotten in future promos. Will vote with my wallet next time.

Not a great weekend. Could have been better.

Yeah, poor people definitely shouldn't be allowed to buy games. How dare those bastards even use the Internet.

Let's just not go down this road, please. Nothing can infuriate me more than condescension towards those of lower status.
I bought all the games in the sale. I already owned Baldur's Gate here on gog and NWN, BG2, ID, and ID2 on disc. I like having digital copies of my games in case something happens to my game discs. Thanks for the sale GOG :)

People who live at or below the poverty line still have an entertainment budget. There is a difference between living in poverty and being homeless. I've heard anecdotes from some children talk about experiencing a gaming generation gap because they play Megaman and other NES games instead of HALO or CoD, because money is an issue. I think that between a seeing movie or buying a sale item on GOG, the GOG purchase represents the better incestment.

Didn't the old system work the same way too? You got a bigger discount on everything, or a smaller discount if you bought less than the full pack?
