We're launching the weekend early this week as good things should last longer. You've been waiting for this promo for a while, and it's finally here!

You knew this day will finally come, and at last you can grab the great Dungeons & Dragons classics, including Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment or Neverwinter Nights, for prices so crazy you have to figure that we're Chaotic Neutral. With this deal we're also testing a totally new promo system that gives you a bigger discount the more games you buy in one order. We're starting with a 20% discount if you buy one game from the offer. Every another game from the promo that you add to the order increases your discount with another 5%, so 2 games get you 25% off, 3 games get you 30% off and so on, until you get a 60% discount on your order of the whole D&D collection. Of course if you already own some of the games from the promo they will count towards your final discount!

The promo ends on Monday, September 26 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, so there's no time to lose, and you'll never know when a similar occasion will happen again.
This is what I've been waiting for. Purchased them all for about $35. =]
I'm definitely a happy camper today. Thanks GOG and happy anniversary!

Antimateria: Good thing that I waited.. And didn't own any of those games. But always I was in that zone that I would in some day. This was it.

Whats the lowest these games have ever been discounted for? Should i buy them now or hold for longer?
Just bought them all. I only wanted 7 out of the 9, then I realized the other 2 could be had for less than $2 more.

Thanks GOG.

SylvesterInk: So how about we improve our attitudes just a little. If a GOG has a sale that may not be up to snuff in comparison to a Steam sale, just be glad that they are having a sale. (And no BS about "Well, GOG needs to know how we, the customers, feel about this." I'm fairly certain they want to give us the best deals they can, and you don't need to tell them that Steam may have a better sale going on.)
Ughhh. I hate these types of comments with a passion. So many things wrong with what you said. I would elaborate, but it looks like you would just lump it in as BS.

so here's the short answer to your request : No.

I'm pretty sure in traditional old sale structure, the games have individually been lower. But that sale structure may be gone for good now.

As a group though, they've never been lower. You can get all the games in the sale for around 3.99/2.99 per game.

So your mileage may vary as this thread has demonstrated.

New day, new comment :P

Better buy those now, otherwise you might regret. I thought some of those were expensive (without sale) and fuck the rent this is as good as it gets. =)

So in 23 1/2 hours i can say it again ? Sweet ;)
Good points:
Sale supports returning customers
Sale gives incentive for people buying more than 50% to make additional purchases
Encourages making "on the fence purchases

Bad points:
Sale doesn't seem very attractive to people interested in less than half the games listed
Difference in sale amount (20%-60%) is rather extreme
Probably no better than other sale style for encouraging buyers buying nearly all games to purchase more

Ideas for improvement:
Tiers of discount, which would get the "maybe just one more game" effect in customers buying fewer games (say, if going from 3 games to 4 games would move from 40% to 50%) and wouldn't discourage gamers only wanting one or two games from making their purchase since the minimum discount is a little higher.
I'd say something like 35% off for 3 or less 45% off for 4 to 6, and 55% off for 7 to 9, and maybe add a 10th game to the line up and give the full 60% for buying them all.

Agreed. I find complaints about complaints much worse than simple complaints. Especially when they tell others not to express their opinions.
I have been waiting forever for some of these games to come on sale, but I dont like the new sale structure. I prefer the old way. I only wanted one or two of the games, but feel its a rip off compared to how sales used to work. Whats the point in waiting for a sale anymore? I guess if your like me and dont want them all..you lose out. Disappointing GoG. But hey, that business right? I think Im passing until a better deal comes along.

I sir lodge a complaint against your complaint of those that have complaints versus the original complainee's complaints. ;p
It just had to be said!
(I didn't mean any of it, honest!) :D
