After last week's Ubisoft sale you may have thought we'll give you a break from deals you cannot pass. If so, then you were wrong :) This weekend we're offering you the whole Age of Wonders trilogy with a stunning 50% discount, so you can enjoy all three parts of this award winning strategy series for only $12.97. If you already own some Age of Wonders titles on GOG, you can complete the series with a 50% discount. But if you're interested in buying only one or two parts of the series you'll still get 30% off. Promo ends on Monday, November 29 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Truck: Also, you forgot Fishslapping Tuesday, Monster Truck Sunday Sunday Sunday, Okra's Dance of the Moon, and King Wednesday. These are important made up holidays too!
And the Vienna Boys Choir plays every Tuesday night in Kings Cross, straight after the hippo races.
Yes! ...Oh wait - I already bought all 3. :)

Great deal though.

teknomedic: I'm sooo sorry to complain, but this seems a little week considering we've got Black Friday and Cyber Monday going on this weekend-ish.

Crossing fingers for something on Monday.

I still wish they had the manuals, but manuals are easy to find. Thanks again GOG!

As far as I know only 2 of the 3 can be found on the internet.
I was worried I wouldn't see this deal. I've wanted all 3 and Steam offers the trilogy for $19.99 all the time. Now that GOG is doing it cheaper I can finally buy it. GO GOG
PLEASE STOP! I HAVE TOO MANY GAMES AND NOT ENOUGH TIME!

p.s. No, please continue.
AAAW You gotta be kidding me?! I Just bought the first game last week!

I hates you GOG, I hates yoooouu! Work a week faster please!! :D
For those of you who are still on the fence about whether or not to purchase the AoW series, here are some things to consider:

1) "Are these games good? Are they worth playing?" The short answer is, "Yes." These games continue to be played up until the present because they were good upon release and remain compelling even today. The fact that they continue to have an active community and plenty of mods and user-made campaigns speaks to their longevity.

2) "Do I really want to buy all three of these?" The short answer is, "Most likely." The only one of the three which is truly a "must-buy" would be Shadow Magic (the last in the series), and that is because of it being the spiffiest and most mod-able. Once you play it, however, you'll have an itch to play the other two, and even the first AoW has a lot to offer. If you truly have doubts about these games being "up your alley," download the demo and get a taste of how they play. If you like them at all, get all three or you'll wish you had, later.

3) "Do I really want to spend the money? I could buy any other GOG game for the same amount." Yes, you could, but would you rather have one game or three for that price? Seriously, even if you're waiting for the Christmas sale, even if you're hoping for a price-drop in the future (which is entirely possible), you're still not going to beat this price by much. You'd have to find another 50% deal AFTER a price drop, and that would save you $4. Are you willing to take a chance that next year (or the year after) you might save $4? Go ahead and buy the games, already. GOG could use your money, and you can skip buying a latte to make up for the price difference.

IN CONCLUSION, if you have any interest in these games at all, buy them during this sale.

It seems like pretty much every person here (including me) has the same problem - we buy way more games than we have time to play and have huge backlogs.

I see a different problem too, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one experiencing it. I've been continually buying more games than are released each week. Most weeks there is just one release - sometimes I'll get that one, and it's very likely that I'll get at least a couple of games at each weekend promo. So I'd say that I'm averaging buying at least twice as many games as GOG are releasing, at least over the last few months (didn't buy many games before that, due to lack of money).

If I continue like this I will eventually buy the whole catalogue... And I will probably only ever play a relatively small fraction of the games. Oh well, there are worse things I could spend my money on :) And I really am a sucker for the extras we get with most games. Even if I don't have time to play all the games I buy I usually think it's worth it just for the artwork, soundtracks, et cetera.
Yay, smaller and more focussed!

The one for Shadow Magic is just the Appendix of the manual.

Hmm, I have a boxed copy of Shadow Magic, I may be able to scan the manual....

They have a Shadow Magic manual listed as waiting for approval, but you need to be a freqent contributing member to get it now. Kinda lame. (uploads)
