Progressing through NM on my hardcore WD now. 7k HP and 1050 DPS at the moment (level 36), feels fairly decent.

Going to raid the AH later and hopefully bring the stats up to about 8k HP and 1500 DPS, then I'll be set until Act IV at least.

Anyone else hit by the sudden language restrictions problem?

Beginning today, I can only play my retail-bought Diablo III in portuguese or spanish. Yesterday I was happily playing it in english. These restrictions have been applied to many other countries as well.

There are lots of complaints on Blizzard support forums, and yet they probably won't do anything.

I paid half-price for this game, but unless they revert this situation fast, it's my most regrettable purchase ever. And I was thinking about finally trying WoW.

Blizzard, never again.

These videos pretty sum up the way i feel about the game. It's a good game but it should have been great. In hell Act 2 getting my ass kicked.

Killed inferno belail with a wizard. By the GODS that was difficult. I think I tried over 35 attempts on him.

Yeah I spent a while on him yesterday or the day before on my demon hunter. I can get to phase 3 often enough, and get him down a bit, think my best attempt was 35%'ish phase 3.

Problem is I'll eventually mess up, like hitting smoke screen a bit too late for the 0.5 second window you get when he casts his flame breath nonsense, and then I'm back to getting one shot by the adds in phase 1/2 again.

Admittedly I'm a bit undergeared though. I saw on forums they recommend getting enough dps to push him through to second phase before the adds start spawning, and I'm waaay away from being able to do that. The patch notes make me wonder if it's worth even trying though seeing as they're seemingly going to nerf it next patch, but it makes another part of me want to do it just to be able to say I did before the changes. mmm

I missed this until now and it was directed at me, sorry. I think it's a bit on the low side, I vaguely remember having the same problems around that part until I got some gear improvements on the AH though. Just getting a better weapon + replacing a very weak piece almost doubled my damage and made things a lot easier.

Depends on the class. Ranged classes, yes. Melee, no.

My WD has 2121 DPS and 15245 HP starting Act III NM just now. That's fairly good, but anything under 1500 DPS as ranged and you'll start to struggle.

DH, ~2000 DPS, ~5000 HP, Act 2 NM. :(

Yeah but you're on normal right, not HC. You don't need survivability before Act II Hell really. Stack DPS and enjoy as the game melts before you.

I'm inclined to suggest you wait, but there IS a certain amount of satisfaction from killing something that difficult. My fingers were aching by the time I was done.

I spent a lot of time in phase 2. The most painful wipe was when I was in phase 3, and he was at a silver of health, and I made the mistake of thinking his 2 handed smash wasn't that big of a radius and stood there nuking, then he smacked and killed me. Bleh.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWL fucking Iskatu, if it weren't for Spirit Vessel I'd have lost my 2nd HC char there, and that at level 50 and packing 23k HP.

Finally got him after some trial and error tonight. :D I figured everything was one shotting me anyway, I may as well just buy some gear with zero defensive stats and go all out offensive. It worked pretty well, letting me kill him before I got distracted in phase 3.

Act 3 however is destroying me.

My interest is starting to wane. Had friends over for a week so didn't touch the game. Tried again yesterday and fuck, playing on this laptop really sucks balls. Will grind out the staff and see how farming the secret level goes. If it's at 5fps then I might take a break from the game for a month or so.

There's no point in 'torturing' yourself to play. Take a break, and come back after a while.

Sounds like you need a new laptop. I'm still chipping away at the last part of Act 3 (hell) @59 level if anyone really cares.
