Thought it would be nice to have a discussion about the gameplay, or you know, the game part of the game. If you want to talk about DRM, always-online requirements, lag or how Blizzard hasn't been the same since the last millennium, try one of the other threads please. Here's one:

Now, had a bit of a marathon today and finally made it to 60 and finished off Hell. It was a long night and I was shattered today so those two and half levels took me much longer than anticipated. I got horrendously frustrated in one of the Sin towers in A3 so had a friend drag me through those, as well as A4. Will probably go back tomorrow and finish those off solo after a trip to the AH so that I can feel all smug to myself.
Not sure what to think of my WD thus far...
Extremely, extremely squishy. There are a few cooldowns to keep yourself alive but as soon as those precious <5 seconds run out, you better leg it like fuck. Essentially, gameplay becomes a massive kitefest. I'll quote a guy from the EU D3 forums, as I think he put it perfectly:
"Kite, kite, kite, OH GOD SOMETHING COMING, *spirit walk*, kite, kite, kite, OH GOD SOMETHING COMING, *die waiting cooldown*"
Single target dps sucks real ass, which also makes it tough to focus down rares, etc (invulnerable minions, anyone?)
It was slightly demoralising doing A4 with my friend (Wizard). He has slightly better gear than me (but a much better weapon) and he was perfectly capable of handling 2 packs of rares at a time by himself in a 2 player game. Those damage mitigating cooldowns are just too damn awesome. As for the WD, if you cannot kite it, you cannot kill it (and most likely escape is nigh impossible, hello teleport, vortex, fast, etc).
Obviously my gear isn't quite up to the standard yet and I still have plenty of builds to try (some really interesting ones up on the forums), but it was still a bit of a disheartening experience after that long grind to 60. Will try again tomorrow with a fresh mindset.
Also - Legendaries. Effectively they are Unique items from D2 (many even have the same name) - which is fine. I just wish they didn't call them 'Legendary,' as that almost implies that they are good - which they aren't.
This is the one that I found - "Kill"

Yes, that really does have a lvl 55 requirement. Unless I am missing something serious, I had a better weapon at lvl 30.
Currently, blue items are the best in the game, followed by rares and the legendaries (with possible exceptions of course). It would obviously be boring if Legendaries were the best and everyone and their dog was running around with the same god damn weapon, but currently they're just a bit shit.
My brother found a Buriza as well. Meh at best.
(EDIT: Case in point http://i49.tinypic.com/rr7920.jpg )
Oh and the AH is full of Legendaries so if you have some spare cash, grab yourself one.
Also, the level 60 sets are seriously underwhelming. Griswold's v2, so to say.
Thoughts?
