Happy GOGiversary, Genki! *big GOGiversary hug*

I will have to agree with trent, you are always such a pleasure to talk with and such a happy presence on the forum.

Not in, but a big thank you for the giveaway!

As for the topic of discussion, well I generally tend to look on the bright side of life, or at least try to, especially after something that happened to me several years ago that nearly ended my life. I won't go into any details, as a lot of what has happened to me is not very happy, and I would hate to make this place all depressing. But I try to just appreciate what and who I have around me, rather than letting the many horrible things that life throws at me get me down.

Good luck to those entering!
Not in but thanks for the giveaway.
Happy fifth GOGiversary to you. +1 rep.

I’m in.

In order of preference

Happy GOGiversary! Check your PMs for another possible donation. :)
You most certainly are a genki colleen, and everyone that has interacted even a bit with here knows it. :-D

Congrats on your double GOGversary, and cheers for the generous GA. :-)
Tell me how you put a positive spin on a bad situation.
Depends on the situation really, but my usual go to tool is a bit of scathing humour, mostly self-targeted too; it's quite therapeutic and puts a different perspective on things. ;-)

まことにありがとうございます! (Thanks so much for the giveaway!)

My day is often brighter for having seen your posts around the forums, as you surely live up to your namesake. :)

genkicolleen: Optional topic of conversation: Tell me how you put a positive spin on a bad situation.
I try to frame bad events and situations as an opportunity for me to come out of it having learned something new or strengthened myself in some way.

Giveaway wishlist:
1. Bastion (Steam) courtesy of ElTerprise
2. Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten (GOG)
3. Tropico Trilogy (Steam)
4. Lilly Looking Through (Steam HB gift)
5. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (Steam)

Congrats on both anniversaries! It's a pleasure having you on the GOG forums. I will not be in this one but thanks for a wonderful giveaway and also to the donors for their support! Cheers :D
Happy Very Genki 'Versaries! I'm not in this time around, but if there's cake, I'll have some cake.

Edit: I will, on reflection, be in after all - for Daikatana. Thankee sai!

Positive spin on a bad situation? Well, there's always a bright side. I mean, I've just gone through a pretty major medical procedure - and yet I never really suffered; being cheery about it was its own reward. I think I got better so quickly and got to go back to living in good time because I didn't dwell on the sorry end of things. And, in a way, there was nothing else to do - when you're in a situation, even if it's not a great one, it's still YOU living through it. Same person behind the eyes, no matter what happens out in the world. Where possible, I just try to hold up my end and keep going onward.
