Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!

Crewdroog: You forgot that chat is also comletely broken for some.

HypersomniacLive: Did I? Though I've not listed every single problem, I did say that we now have more problems with the chat system, which obviously includes the broken state it's in for a number of users.

You wouldn't by any chance think that mentioning it (by name) here would make a difference for GOG, would you now? ;-)

sherringon456: My theory is when they tried to return the chat functions, they ended up giving up for some reason (Probably the code being messed up.) and have started to redesign the entire site.

HypersomniacLive: This is a very frightening theory.
It could be good if they add new features without taking any away or breaking it even more.

Had you been lurking around GOG before you signed up? If the answer is yes, then you should also know if the part I highlighted is where to bet your money on.

No I didn't actually, but I heard they broke and removed a lot. They're beginning to run out of things to break though and certain members of the community are getting impatient now so hopefully they will see sense and actually improve things.

Addendum to my Feedback on Orders & Settings (posts , [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/a_new_my_account_d5f25/post886]#886 and #887)

During the Spring Insomnia 2014, I was lucky to win Aarklash: Legacy for free.

A couple of weeks ago, I was gifted Randal's Monday which was on a gift code along with Aarklash: Legacy. As is known, a title that one already owns doesn't even show on the Redeem page, let alone allow you to re-redeem it.

But look what it says in my Orders History. - Aarklash: Legacy was added to my account on May 14, 2014, and magically was re-added on Sep 11, 2015! Aren't I special?

I got curious and went back to check other cases of codes with multiple titles on them, but they seemed OK. I can only assume that the above is due to some behind-the-scenes unannounced change GOG made to the NAS.

So, not only have none of the issues that make the new, detailed order history of little use to us been addressed, but something has been fiddled with that makes it now also completely unreliable as to the information it provides. But, the confirmation emails for redeemed titles were scrapped to never return when the fresher, better GOG rolled out.

I'm probably writing all this in vain, GOG seems to be on a Communication Fasting; I hope the rewards are worth it.

Just trying to bump this thread - it has a lot of detailed problem descriptions in it, and I think they deserve attention!

Maybe we should have a poll about if/how people changed their buying habits in reaction to this "my" account fiasco? I haven't bought a single title on gog since, and from various comments on related wishlist items I know I'm not alone. Others may have bought fewer games than before, others have stopped buying unbundled items, etc.
