Thats AWESOME!!!!
Very cool. Wish I could actually play the guitar well.
Maybe I should learn guitar just for one of deez. :|
Hey man, just wanted to suggest trying these type things out before you buy. I got a You Rock guitar after watching some pretty amazing demos, and it'll do some cool stuff - but it requires considerable changes in technique vs. real guitar, and I had to tweak the instrument and software quite a bit to hone the response. I was in a band and could play pretty well, but after getting the You Rock guitar I was amazed at what some of the players can do in the videos because it's really very different from playing normal guitar. Response and technique can be very different from a regular guitar.

If you're interested in midi guitar I'd suggest at least looking into this also

The speed of real-time response for stringed instrument is pretty incredible as shown in these videos

I recently tried the MIDI Guitar, it's pretty neat but the latency is a bit off for most instruments, which is understandable to be fair.

I use Jam Origin MIDI Guitar and can vouch for it being rather awesome. They have a time restricted demo that people can use to try it out with the built in synth. It's rather amazing for software that turns a standard mono guitar signal into a single polyphonic MIDI data stream. Best MIDI solution I've seen for guitar that doesn't require a hex-pickup like the Roland GK-3.

It has rather good tracking as well.

I've had good luck with Rocksmith. Unfortunately, it's Steam only on the computer or you have to use a console.
What about Misa Digital? I've always wanted to get my hands on a Kitara.

The clean sound is the only one that's all right. The distorted sounds are disgustingly horrible.

I've had extreme problems getting my guitar to sound good in guitarix and ardour with distortion... but that thing sounds just about as bad and maybe even worse.

Same problem with acpad, those electronic dubsteppy sounds are just.. no. Put in properly sampled real instruments into the MIDI patches, then we're talking.

Rocksmith is more modelling than it is MIDI synth...ing.
take a look at the ghost hexpander picks/preamp

You and everyone here could play guitar, it takes some practice some effort and they deliver that to you in one wishful package. How awesome is that?!!

Oh, I can play the guitar. I've been dabbling off and on for 30 years. But I don't play it well. ;)

Then you play it better than I.
