The buzz around GOG's closure and re-opening has slowly faded away and we wanted to sum up the beta stage with a special gift for all those who have been with us during that period. Two years ago we began our revival of all-time PC-gaming classics for all you fans of good old games. Through ups and downs we’ve received a lot of support from the best community we could ever imagine (that’s you!) and we want to thank everyone who’s been with us through our beta stage with a special gift.

Any user who created an account before we closed down the site and moved out of beta (that's September 20, 2010) will receive Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games for free! We'll be adding the game automatically to your accounts during the next days, so don't worry if the game is not yet there.

Of course, we're not forgetting about all those users who joined the GOG family in the last few weeks. Together with Strategy First we're launching a special promotion to offer their GOG catalogue at a 50% discount.

If you've been a part of GOG beta and you already bought Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, please click here, as we have an alternative gift for you.

Thanks for being with us!

bloodravenfire: dose this site have game cards
gog have game cards in store
Not that anyone is aware of, so I doubt they will anytime soon. My suggestion is to get a paypal or ebay gift card (they're the same thing AFAKI) and set up a paypal acct. to use.
i appreciated the idea behind the gift (though the gift itself was a matter of taste)

but to be honest, gog being around is for me a big enough gift, especially with the recent release of planescape, for exemple

however the fan wishlist dissapared :( i really would continue to check wich games are awaited and wanted by the communauty and add my own wish; really would need dungeon keeper (1 and 2)

anyway congrats for not being beta anymore and hope the gog initiative will last long.

It's still there, there's just no indication of it on the frontpage.
Very much appreciated, I hadn't played JA:DG in a long time. Thanks GOG!
Thanks GOG!

Crassmaster: I suspect that the price point of the original trilogy is in part to make them a little less attractive to buyers.

Definitely agree that the BF catalog would look great here, though. CM series, Strategic Command 2 games, TacOps series, etc.
I suspect that too.

Oh yeah, TacOps included.
Thank you! I logged into my account today (the first time in a while), and what do I see? A game I didn't purchase. After some digging I finally realize it was a gift. Thank you very much! I've always bragged about GoG and the service/community involvement but now I will work even harder to spread the love of GoG!

Long live GoG!

Much love.... Wait for it... Lame but totally sincere ASCII hearts coming your way... NOW...

Ah, that's true. But maybe they need to look into altering the account creation process. I forget what it involves now as it's been a while. But maybe some kind of email confirmation to activate and / or a CAPTCHA.

CAPTCHAs do nothing to prevent spam. Look at the number of forums that put them in place and still get hammered with spambots. Same with requiring account activation...they still have spam problems, too. The truth is that there is no magic answer to completely rid yourself of forum spam.
Now that is great!

Much better then two dudes in monk outfits. :P
