The buzz around GOG's closure and re-opening has slowly faded away and we wanted to sum up the beta stage with a special gift for all those who have been with us during that period. Two years ago we began our revival of all-time PC-gaming classics for all you fans of good old games. Through ups and downs we’ve received a lot of support from the best community we could ever imagine (that’s you!) and we want to thank everyone who’s been with us through our beta stage with a special gift.

Any user who created an account before we closed down the site and moved out of beta (that's September 20, 2010) will receive Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games for free! We'll be adding the game automatically to your accounts during the next days, so don't worry if the game is not yet there.

Of course, we're not forgetting about all those users who joined the GOG family in the last few weeks. Together with Strategy First we're launching a special promotion to offer their GOG catalogue at a 50% discount.

If you've been a part of GOG beta and you already bought Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, please click here, as we have an alternative gift for you.

Thanks for being with us!
Just wanted to post my thanks as well. And curses for creating such an addictive site.

On a side note, while I didn't personally own Jagged Alliance previously, it was nice to include an alternate gift for those that already owned it.
Thanks guys :)
Awesome, thanks guys!
Nice gift. Thanks GOG! (I'll try not to be so snarky now...) I already own most of this catalog though. Of the 12 games I don't have:
1. Apache vs. Havoc
2. Comanche vs. Hokum
3. Combat Chess
4. Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord
5. Darkstar One
6. FlatOut
7. Patrician 3
8. Port Royale 2
9. Pro Pinball Big Race USA
10. Pro Pinball Fantastic Journey
11. Pro Pinball Timeshock
12. Strategic Command: European Theater

So.. not a pinball fan, also dislike flight & space combat sims..

3. Combat Chess
4. Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord
6. FlatOut
7. Patrician 3
8. Port Royale 2
12. Strategic Command: European Theater

I don't really need a chess game.. and I'm not a fan of the old hex-based war games.

4. Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord
6. FlatOut
7. Patrician 3
8. Port Royale 2

Patrician 3 looks like the best pick for me so far. Suggestions?

The Guild
This is great and unexpected, thanks a lot! :)
But The Guild isn't among the free games being offered.
Thank you GOG :)
Thank you very much, GoG. :)

You'll eventually get used to Guild-jokes if you stay on the boards ;-).
As for your question, if you're new to economic sims, and would like a more fogiving experience, go with Port Royale 2. Patrician 3 is a bit more challenging, but really fun nonetheless.
Not that PR2 can't be challenging, but it's considerably easier to get into, IMO,

Thank you so much, I've been with you since the very beginning and it was always great. I may not be a heavy user, but I am a loyal one and from time to time still purchase some games. So far most of them are still unplayed though due to the lack of time.
This is a real reward for the good old customers;)
The free gift is really nice, but I don't like strategy games.

Is there any way I could give my copy to someone else?
Thanks.
Long life to GOG!
Thank you. :)
nice. never played this one. thanks!
