GenlyAi: newsletter works realy well, as most casual gamers check their emails much more often than the stores websites.
I'd guess few people who don't check the site all that often would want to receive at least one email a week from GOG. A 4x a year mailing would be much more appealing to many people. I'd guess they are aiming at people who currently check Steam quite often and GOG would like them to get in the habit of checking GOG just as often.

UhuruNUru: 1 reason why GOG won't release Skyrim, THEY DON'T OWN SKYRIM
Ask Bethesda, and you'll get likely get told no chance in hell. Why do users think GOG gets to decide?

Skyrim Legendary Edition will never come here
The only reason it's still sold on Steam, is due to contractual obligations with Valve, likely obligated by deal making it the launch game for Steam Workshop. The standard procedure is to remove the game from sale entirely, when replaced by a new version.
Even so, nobody except an existing owner can even find the Store page, on Steam.

Getting a direct link from an owner is the only way to buy LE now.
Skyrim Legendary Edition On Steam

Skyrim Legendary Edition is welcome on GOG, but Bethesda don't want to sell it anywhere.

Skyrim Special Edition, and Fallout 4
Even less chance, they will ever come to GOG, due to Creation Club DRM.

Regardless, that Microtransaction infested Store being forced into games I bought years before, was the reason I removed both Fallout 4, and Skyrim SE from my Steam account, so unless they remove the Creation Club DRM from both games, neither will be welcome.

Skyrim Special Edition, and Fallout 4 are NOT welcome on GOG, unless Creation Club is removed.
I doubt that will ever happen.
We are not here for excuses!11
you know... some fellow GOGer mentioned Dark Souls and I'd have to agree... For once, I'm going to ask for the "good" game instead of Skyrim or Fallout 4.

Strange, Paypal works fine for me. Also know a few people from Finland who use Paypal without issue. Check your account settings for Paypal, GOG, internet security? Try a different browser? You could always log in on your phone to see if that works.

Works fine for me on Firefox, with Adblock Plus, Privacy Badger, Facebook Container enabled.
Works fine on my Android Phone.

Blimey, it worked. Thank you.
I can confirm that it's worth subscribing to the newsletter. :) I've used the offer several times. Maybe the latest Heroes discount isn't below its historical minimum, but it's still cheaper than during the last big sale. The prices in overall have a tendency to grow unfortunately.

Cusith: I emphatically disagree with the fun part completing the find the whatever and then having to complete a bloody captcha to find out what it is kills any type of fun.
Agreed. And for some reason the captchas have always been extra irritating and time-consuming instances.

The first few times these newsletter discounts appeared, I followed them up just to see what the offer was. The offer was never interesting enough to warrant going through that annoying procedure (not even close), so at this point I couldn't care less about these things.

In fact, my advice to anyone who values their own time is to ignore these offers unless the game in question happened to be one that you were about to purchase anyway. (And if the game is a mystery, just ignore the offer completely.)

GOG provides no end of great sales and discounts without irritating you in the process. You don't need this nonsense.

Haha, that is good one, consider popping that in the joke thread! The original DS that was a painful to play as it was, to play funnily enough. Dreadful port, marrred by a shit game.
Skyrim is as not great, either version, and now that it’s crippled by creators club microtransactions and drmd modding is even worse, I would however still choose it over dark souls, in fact a repeating proctologist’s appointment would be preferable to a “souls like” game!

ok todd
I never get their promo newsletters anymore, even though I'm subscribed. For a while I had to go back and retick the check box because it would inexplicably untick itself, but despite being ticked when I check it now I still don't get emails. And no, they're not in my spam box.
I used to be subscribed to the Newsletters. But I unsubsribed due to captcha.

Edit:

5) It’s simply fun!
I dont have fun with captchas. Your "important" reasons are neither important nor true.

Edit 2:

1) You’ll receive great exclusive offers
Exclusivity is not a reason for subscribing. There is already way too much exclusivity in the world. It means shutting out other people. From a philosophical POV I dont want to support that. But this is just a minor negative for me. Captcha is the big bad reason for my "NO" to newsletter.

GOG, you are often good. But it's a bit ironic that instead of fixing some of the issues in the newsletter, you'd do a hand-wave, smile and it will vanish promotion instead.

I meant, using Steam's search system, which is how most people find their games on Steam.

Even so, you had to tweak the results Choosing DuckDuckGo, and inserting Steam.
Google Searches for just Skyrim, only offer Skyrim SE, in a more typical user search.
Even your "Steam Skyrim" search offers Skyrim SE as the top result on Google, though to be fair, Legendary is second result then.

Valve, and Bethesda can't control 3rd part search engines, but are clearly trying to bury the Legendary Edition where they can

Anothername: We are not here for excuses!11
Not making excuses, just having realistic expectations.
Bethesda Softworks have released newer games than Skyrim, or Fallout 4 on GOG.
Both those games would be sold on GOG already, if it was going to happen.

I'd love to get Legendary Edition on GOG, but I don't think it will ever happen, due to Creation Club.
