The one that excellent, that everyone wants - it's probably going to be quite tough to get. I've tried to contact Alexander Brandon, Andrew Sega, and the few others that composed it, with no luck thus far, but I'll email Epic Games and we'll see what happens. Unless it is actually being sold somewhere, I say download it illegally for now, that's what I did.

Emailed Vachey at contact@audiogamers.com. Also contacted LBAHQ.com. (They have the full soundtracks there - http://www.lbahq.com/music.htm - but it will still be nice to have them here for a "one-stop bonus shop" type thing. :P)

In early 2000s my roommate somehow managed Winamp to play Unreal's umx music files, I was so happy. Then I somehow converted them to mp3s and recorded to cds. Then came the internet with torrent sites.. My last grab was Beta Unique Tracks, I still haven' t listened to them properly.

I completely agree with your previous post regarding few tracks that are actually "listenable", and I was indeed referring to the five "remix" tracks.

Didn't find direct contact information for Ola Strandh, but I contacted both Massive Entertainment and Rebellion about the soundtrack for Ground Control. Update once they respond.

Yeah, previous people have mentioned that apparently you can do that Winamp/UMX playability with Unreal Gold here on GOG. :) I own the game but haven't tried it yet. The torrent I grabbed was actually, I think, missing a bit of music, because this is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IISjIMpepo three and half hours worth of music, whereas my torrent is about 2 hours worth. :-P

Got a reply from Phil. :) He doesn't seem thrilled up about getting the music illegally (as it is his, copyright-wise), but I'll kindly let him know that we didn't have much of a choice, we didn't know where else to get it.

BUT he also said, "As a consequence, I’m OK to consider any official proposition from GOG…." so I sent an email to TheEnimaticT about this. Dunno what will happen, Phil may want money that GOG doesn't want to give him (as they already have a game deal worked out), we'll see. :) If you want to send him an email too, that might be nice.

Hey, just to let you all know, I've bookmarked the page, but I need to sort of take a break from this. Contacting so many companies has forced me in front of a screen for long periods of time, and it's kinda conflicting with other things I really need to be doing instead.

So feel free to keep posting suggestions, and I plan to get to them eventually, but you may also want to try to do your own research on the soundtrack you want.

Do you mean this? Because I doubt with so many artists a full album could be released for free.

No, I was rather thinking about in-game soundtrack. As far as I remember some tunes (haven, clock tower) were brilliant.

Update on the Ground Control soundtrack, got a speedy and friendly reply from Massive, sadly they've relinquished the rights and can't help. They also directed me to Rebellion, who didn't get back to me yet.

Maybe this is due to their contact form (didn't see a direct email address), so I'd appreciate if some Twitter or Facebook users could help out: Try to contact Rebellion UK on Twitter or FB please, just in case they didn't get my mail.

Oh, I don't think I mentioned I got another reply:

"I inquired about the soundstracks, and it looks like we don't actually own the rights for them.
For this reason we cannot distribute the music via GoG as bonus content.
If we get a quiet period I might spend a bit of time chasing this, as it's a really good idea!
But I obviously can't make any promises. I will do my best though. :)"

Sent short FB message and tweeted to them. We'll see what happens.
