dmetras: I don't approve of emulators.

timppu: Ok then, I suppose you don't use DOSBox either, or play any of the GoG games using DOSBox? ;)

Emulators are the best invention since sex, and even sex is wildly overrated.
I'm obviously fine with DOSBox. I meant emulators that detract from the value of gaming systems. For instance, you won't see me emulate an NES (or newer systems') game that can be purchased. To me, that's a no-no. DOSBox is a special exception because all compatibility with DOS has been destroyed. It's gained acceptance by gaming companies, as GOG has clearly shown.

Drelmanes: BUMP !
I like alot of the iconic 16 bit era games (Super Metroid <3)

But I found a critically underrated hidden gem from the SNES libraty:

Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVhtuEQ5QMs

It is the most detailed, athmospherical, and badass 16-bit game I have ever seen.

And the music is awesome:

But sadly the reason its underrated its because of one thing:

THIS GAME IS THE HARDEST GAME EVER IN THE SNES LIBRARY BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CHECKPOINTS!!!!

If you die you start all the way back to the beginning of the level (I think) until you beat said level and progress to the next, but luckily thanks to Emulators with save states, this game is pretty awesome I say its better than the Jurassic Park on the Genesis.

^ This. Plus:

Sensible World of Soccer
Kick Off 2
Chaos Engine
Syndicate
Formula One Grand Prix 2
The Settlers
Frontier: Elite 2
Bloodwych
Interphase
Cadaver
Chuck Rock
Heimdall/Heimdall 2
Championship Manager '93
Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker

And many, many more.
EarthBound, people, EarthBound - the best game ever.

Other than that, the SNES had a crazy amount of great games such as Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Out of this World (aka Another World), Super Mario World, Zelda: A Lint to the Past, Mega Man X, Donker Kong Country 2...all excellent games.
I liked the Disney games for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, specially the Donald Duck ones, as I always preferred him and Goofy over Mickey.

Quackshot

World of Illusion

I know this last one has Mickey in it, but it was one of the few games my friends and I would fight over who would get to be player 2, because no one wanted to be him.
For SNES specifically:

Killer Instinct
Shadowrun (prefer the Sega Genesis/Megadrive version)
Inindo: Way of the Ninja
Earthbound
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 6 (aka 3 in the US)
Wild Guns
Zelda: A Link to the Past

And a few more I'm sure I am forgetting.....

For Sega Genesis (aka Sega Megadrive):

Shadowrun (More RPG driven and the better one in my opinion)
Toejam and Earl 1
Biohazard Battle
M.U.S.H.A.
Splatterhouse games
Crackdown
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (this is the only version I played)

And many more, I am sure I am forgetting ...
