Hmm, I only had a SNES, so it will be a all-SNES list, then.

Super Mario World - 'nuff said
Mario Kart - 'nuff said too
Zelda a link to the past : of course !
Secret of Mana / Secret of Evermore : boy i spent hours on those games, not only me, but my sister too and our mom liked to watch us playing and give us advices.
Final Fantasy IV : simply one of the best J-RPG ever written, and I'm not really a fan of FF generally
Super Probotector (european name for Contra 3, I think) : damn hard, damn impressive, damn good.
Donkey Kong Country 1-3 : amazing games, amazing graphics for the time.
Goof Troop: an excellent puzzle and reflexion game

Secret of Mana (Oh my god, such good music.)
Seiken Densetsu 3 (Oh my god, more amazing music. Hiroki Kikuta is a genius.)
Illusion of Time (Gaia)
Terranigma
Chrono Trigger

EDIT: How did I forget Earthbound and Super Metroid!?

Phantasy Star II and IV (the 2 best 16-bit RPG's, IMO) and yes, I've played Chrono Trigger and FF6.

the Super Star Wars games
Prince of Persia (SNES version)
Super Metroid
Mortal Kombat II (the last great MK)
Desert, Jungle, and Urban Strike

couldn't agree more with this, I listen to the Soundtrack to Secret of Mana all the time, probably one of the best RPG soundtracks of all time.

lukipela: If you liked MK2 you might like the newest MK. It is pretty awesome.
It looks pretty great. I don't have a system to play it on though. I haven't seen anything about it..but do you know if there a PC version coming?
