So why aren't all the other Spiderweb Software games up for sale on GOG.com yet? We're missing Avadon, Nethergate Resurrection (which just released on Steam), Avernum 1-6, and Avernum Escape from the pit. I really hope they come soon as i'd love to own them on GOG.com. They seem like a perfect fit for the site.
I'm guessing GOG has a backlog of games that they've signed up but haven't released yet (since they only release 1-2 "new" games a week)

I hope so.
Since there indies it depends on a two things 1. If Spiderweb submitted the games for sale 2. if GOG approved them if 1 and 2 are met then it's just a question of where they lay on their release schedule.

Now Older releases have a few extra steps such as if the game has any compatibility issues, if a copy of the game can be obtained since often the rights have changed hands more then once and the rights holder does not have a copy of the game or the source code or the original masters have deteriorated so in those case GOG have to go and obtain a copy elsewhere such as ebay or TET's personal stash and they have to obtain permission from those who may have made fan fixes and all that good stuff.

I know that the games you mentioned are not old or that old but I figured to add that bit anyway.
I asked SpiderWeb on their Facebook group if they would ever get the rest onto GOG and received no reply...

Do they have a Twitter?

I emailed their support page and so far no reply. Not a great way to treat your customers. Especially being a 1 person developer and all.

Maybe we should try posting on their forums?
Geneforge is still being sold on GOG so I doubt it's some dislike between the two groups...?

I tried that as well a while ago. Got a few replies from other people but that's it. http://www.spiderwebforums.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/281842/GOG_com

Big_McLargeHuge:
Perhaps Geneforge did not sell too well on GOG?
Maybe there is a nondisclosure agreement... somewhere?

I'm really at a loss, but I would much rather get the other games on GOG than Steam (ie: not get them on Steam).

Same here.
I bet GF didn't sell much on GOG. It's priced at 15$, and it appeared on a indie bundle where you got Steam/Desura keys, so people who follow the indie scene maybe got it from there. Now it's also on Indie Game Stand and you also get a GOG key there, but it wouldn't really count as "sale" being the minimum price $1. I'm actually wondering if these bundles are really helping the indie market or they're just screwing it.

I wouldn't say that since it's what 20 bucks on Steam and alot of people don't even pay attention to those pay what you want bundles(myself being one of them), also when it launched here it was on the top sellers list and was there again during the big indie sale GOG had awhile back along with Grimrock and others.

I hope so then, myself I bought it on GOG because I didn't even know about Spiderweb or the whole indie thing, bundles included
If Spiderweb support is crap, then why not mail GOG support?

One of the reasons why I prefer to buy games with GOG is the relatively excellent tech support.

You guys are worrying and you shouldn't.

I just spoke with jeff on the phone earlier today and he said-"These things take time." Its not that they are not listening, its that Gog has such a set schedule (Tuesday and thursday).

For all I know, they could come out tomorrow. Don't hold me on it, but hey, it could happen.
