I have every Wadjet game except Shardlight here on GOG, but I happen to also have Gemini Rue on Steam from a bundle. Back in April, Wadjet released a major update on Steam. A couple of people asked when the GOG version would be updated on the announcement page and on the Steam Froums, but so far Wadjet has remained silent.

I decided not to pick up Shardlight while it's on sale because it makes me wonder if their other games are being neglected here.
I am interested in this update as well. But apparently GOG is neglecting updates to non-major titles, this has never been answered or resolved as well. But hey, we already paid, why bother.
It looks like another update was released in Feb. 2021 for Gemini Rue on Steam but not here! I won't be buying anymore Wadjet games until I'm certain the GOG versions are getting the same updates.
Another user from the GOG community (MarkoH01) contacted Dave Gilbert from Wadjet Eye. Apparently he wasn't aware of the update disparity and will look into it: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_that_treat_gog_customers_as_second_class_citizens_v2/post2247
Yesterday the game triggered an update. Apparently it is a newer version of the engine, much more compatible with new configurations, D3D9 etc.... Sadly the savegames seem to be lost or incompatible. They are not shown in the game.

What's the version number? I still see the same I had already downloaded (setup_gemini_rue_2.1.0.9.exe).

Now the ingame version in the options configurator is "Game Studio v3.5.0.29" updated automatically from Galaxy

The offline installer available from Galaxy is "setup_gemini_rue_2.1.0.9.exe" as you say. Not sure if that installer is the newest version.

Greetings

It's the same it's been for years. I guess the offline installer might not have been updated yet. Something to keep an eye on.
I have Galaxy installed, but mainly use it for downloading offline installers. I fired it up the other day and saw an update for Gemini Rue, so it seems to have finally been updated. I also downloaded the offline installer to throw onto my backup drive, however it still remains the old version 2.1.0.9.

Another little oddity with this update, I have this game on both Steam and GOG, and when I ran it from from Galaxy while Steam was also running, it acted as if I had launched it from Steam. It also does this if you launch it from the non-Galaxy shortcut.
Why are updates to the offline installers so delayed now? it is bad enough we had to wait so long for the actual game updates
Offline installers finally updated.
I'm getting an error trying to download the offline installer. It just says "download failed: server problem."

I've just tried downloading all installers and it works fine. Did you try again?

Are you downloading directly from your Library or using Galaxy for the download?
