Splatsch: For me the major time was with the comeback of the Fallout games... which comes with the resolution patch automatically included. But there may be others ? I don't know at all...
That was Bethesda's altered version however, same thing's in Steam. It's unknown if the mod creators were advised of this usage or not, so I'm not sure if they're playing WeGo (see: why Re-Volt was taken off the catalog) or not.

This... I'm not sure about, since StarDock asked the community to help with the fixing.

I'm not seeing that. Yes, I do use Windows, too (Win 7 64bit).

Have you tried re-installing DirectX and/or Microsoft Virtual C++? Maybe that will help. You can find installers for both in the Redist sub-folder of GalCiv 2.

I tried that but it didn't help. It has to be a problem with the new patch because that's the only thing that's changed. Why did the patch affect the animations? Is there any other way to fix it?

Can you check the main Trade animation for the Yor Collective? It looks like there is a frame that is all white and that's causing the flashing. Would it be possible for you to confirm this?

The Yor animation always had that white frame. I don't remember, if it was in GalCiv 1 too, but it's in GalCiv 2 since it got first released.

Are you seeing the flashing only with the Yor then? If so, then it's perfectly normal and nothing new. If you are seeing it with other animations too, then I suggest you contact support, because I'm out of ideas.

Yeah, upon further inspection it looks like it's just the Yor animation that has the frame issue. The new patch appears to be fine. Thanks for helping me out! :)
After reading a bit thru this thread I`m a bit confused:
Is the CU implemented with the the new patch or do I have to activate it manually?

The CU is implemented in the current version. No need to activate it or anything.
