**Update** In formatting for the Win7 reinstall I thought I lost the saved games as described below. They were actually saved in the virtualstore folder as described by Namur, so all is well. If anyone needs a saved game though I have several now!
Ok, disaster is a little strong - but I recently had to reformat my computer and while I thought I had everything backed up, I can't find the GK saved games anywhere. Can anyone help me with where the GOG saved games would be located and/or what they are called?
I am (was?) at the start of day 6 and I just don't know if I have the heart to go back through it all right now.

This link is dead now. I lost all my save game files and I really don't want to replay them, but I want to continue the game. I have Win 7 64 bit. Everything was find till the files disappeared.

yeah, the new format for internal links when the service went out of beat means that the old links are all dead now.

Just picked up this game today and I'm already dead stuck here on Day 2. I'm hitting the bug with getting Grimwald./snake to show in the conversation topics with Marie at Moonbeam. I had already showed her the documents that I had and I've already exhausted all possible discussion topics with her. I can't find any other threads on how to fix this issue (yes, I went back through the order of discussion topics again, but nothing), and so the only other thing I can think of is to get some save games files from somebody. This quest was the only thing I needed before finishing Day 2. Does anyone with the GOG.com version of the game have a save game for late Day 2 or beginning of Day 3?

Thanks for the response, but it still doesn't help my situation. I can't really change the way the conversation went after the fact. Does anyone have any Day 3 saves or any suggestions? I only had the one save file (my fault, but there's nothing that I can do). Any support is appreciated!

Copied all my saves as I can't tell them apart from their filename. I've saved at the beginning of each day up till day 5 where I currently am, so there should be a save file for day 3 also.

EDIT: If these saves are ordered somehow chronologically, you could try and pick one that is just before day 3 on the list, as it might be a late day 2 save.
