I just wonder....

Is there a way to play GK3 in windowed mode? I prefer these older games not screwing up the arrangment of my desktop on a dual-screen system, and I couldn't find any *.ini, *.inf or *conf file to adjust the fullscreen settings...

Any help would be appreciated.....

This launcher is supposed to have a windowed mode option.

http://gk3tools.sourceforge.net/launcher.php

There are instructions on that page, along with the download link. Hope it works!
You can also create a shortcut to run GK3.exe with command line arguments, for example

GK3.exe -width 1024 -height 768 -window

for 1024x768, windowed mode. It works for the boxed version, not sure about the GOG release.

I can confirm that this works to some extent.

I tried forcing the resolution and it works. You can even force it into widescreen which only streches the bink video playback and 2D screens like main menu and sydney, but the 3D world is proportionate and looks really good.

As to the -window command, it's not doing anything. I tried -windowed, and -w, but still nothing.
