I just installed WIN10 and now am having problems with GK3 locking up. Had no problems in WIN7

I've tried the fixes recommended but I don't understand what the GK3 Launcher tool is. Where do I download this or is it already part of the package?

Any help would be appreciated so I can finish the game (only on Day 2!!)

Thanks.

Try using this fix: https://www.gog.com/forum/gabriel_knight_series/gk3_1080p_solution_found_d3d11_only

The launcher seems buggy on Windows 10, so I recommend just creating a shortcut and entering your custom resolution to the "target" line yourself.
Thanks so much for your help!!

Cygnata: Feexed it. I uninstalled the GoGalaxy version, then downloaded directly from the site. I once again got the CD error, but the new exe replacement worked. With the GK3Launcher and compatibility mode on both the GK3 and the launcher set to WinXP, 16 bit color, and run as admin, I can now run in Win10, in windowed mode, with no issues whatsoever.
What site did you download it from?

This one.
I disabled all the graphics features / win 95 compatiable mode / set the graphics drive to software render / replaced gk3.exe / set texture to low save games like crazy. but it seems to be stable now with almost no problems. it don't look that great but it works and its stable enought to play it. I need to test it more. but saveing games seems to be a good thing as always.
