Hey everyone, long time Sierra gamer here. Thanks to the magic of GOG I recently re-purchased one of the only Sierra games I owned but never beat, Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers. I haven't beat the game yet (So please no discussion of the ending or of anything that happens after day 8), but the more and more I play this game, as much as I LIKE the character of Gabriel, he's just a horrible person.
- He constantly sexually harasses his only employee.
- Unintentional though it may be, his constant meddling seems directly responsible for Mosley getting killed.
- He basically assaults Malia at a cemetery of all places to try to date her
- Not to mention he steals from and impersonates a police officer in the first place to get a meeting with her (He'd already be in jail for this today, multiple counts of stalking, etc)
- Professor Hartridge dies because of GK as well, though he's less to blame for this one, IMO
- He seems to have little concern for Grace's safety, never advises HER to get out of town before he goes to Germany.
- He lets that creepy guy (who looked like Count Chocula to me) stand outside his store for a couple of days, freaking Grace out....he should've called the cops or kicked his ass...
- Worst of all, he repeatedly just stood there and let the slow-ass mummies kill him as I tried to navigate the outer 'ring' in Africa!
Am I being too picky or does the game really go out of its way to make him unlikable? I mean, I get the whole 'redemption to becoming a Schattenjaeger" angle, but still......
