Very attractive, especially at 50% of the price. But screenshots and videos, they all seem focused on two co-op players action.
So... Is the game fun/playable in single-player, or only half the fun?
I just binged a few hours and haven't gotten the chance to do co-op because at the moment co-op requires a controller. You both share the screen. I'm addicted so far.

Good :)
Thanks for being interested! We've started developing Fury Unleashed as a single-player only game, and it remains as such at its core. With time, due to popular demand, we've also added a local co-op mode, which contains the same story content, but allows two players to play together. In the future, we'll be adding an online co-op mode as a free update. Rest assured, as those additions do not weaken the single-player experience in any way.

Did online co-op ever make it to the GOG version?

The Steam version currently advertises online play, but I can't find any mention of the feature having made it here on GOG.
Hello! We've just updated the store page to reflect the information that the game currently features online co-op.

Just to clear the potential confusion - Yes! The online part is available on GOG through (and thanks to) the Galaxy client.
Certainly worth it for Singleplayer.
