Hello, i have bought Frostpunk only a month ago; now there is the GOTY with Season Pass included. :(
There is a way to upgrade to that version without buying another one, paying only the difference for example?
Thanks.

You can buy the Season Pass separately here.

Dude, i know, but the GOTY have the season pass included for a lower price, that's the point. ;)
I'm interested in this as well. I've bought the game 3 weeks ago, would like to know if an upgrade is possible since season pass it self isn't on sale (which seems a bit odd to me).

Or the possibility to buying the GOTY by climbing down the cost already incurred.

Or when you buy Season Pass it will change in GOTY.

Any news on this?

The GOTY-version is part of the summer sale but the season pass is not.

I would feel a bit ripped off, having to buy the same game once more to get the better price.

Hello, i was talking about it with the GOG support:
______

By purchasing Season Pass to Frostpunk you will, in a way, upgrade your game to the GOTY Edition :) Season Pass includes all additional content available in GOTY: all DLCs, digital artbook and soundtrack.
______

I am afraid that in case of Frostpunk, the GOTY Edition will not be described as such in your library. The only difference will be the bonus contents that you own (no matter if you purchase GOTY or the base game + Season Pass, the result will be the same).

The only game that is automatically converted into GOTY Edition (a new entry is being added to the library) after the purchase of Season Pass (or two DLCs separately) is The Witcher 3.
______

I'm waiting for another reply, because i wanted to know what will be displayed in the GOG library if i purchase the Season Pass.

I'm still hoping they will add the possibility to buying the GOTY by climbing down the cost already incurred for the Standard Edition and i don't understand why we can't already do it.
For sure the Season Pass will not go on discount until the release of all the DLC. Maybe next year.

Last reply from the support:

After the purchase of Season Pass, it will be added to your base game entry and you will be able to download it from the Backup section of the base game (on GOG.COM) or Bonuses (in GOG GALAXY 2.0). DLCs and DLC packs do not form separate entries in library. Also, if you have auto-updating feature active (configuration button next to "Play"/"Install" > Manage installation > Configure...), your game will be automatically updated with the Season Pass once you open GOG GALAXY 2.0. If it does not update automatically, I recommend going there and making sure that all DLCs are correctly chosen.
Thx for sharing the answers you got from the support.

It doesn't really say anything about the pricing that was my main interest.
It doesn't matter much to me, if the game is called GOTY version or not in my library.
But I do care about paying the best price for the complete pakage. ;)
Hello, seems it's not possible, i was asking the same thing too :)
Maybe they will change something in the future, after summer, when the last part of season pass will be released.
Imho the season pass will be set on discount not before 2021.

I posted the solution for update to GOTY in the season pass page for the game, among reviews. Unfortunately i cant post the link in here directly for unknown reason. So search for the season pass page and there u go :)

Don't mean to discourage you but I've had the season pass and one of the DLCs on my wishlist for ages now. I know they're mutually exclussive, I am just testing. Anyway, the price hasn't changed at all. Not a dime.
They don't seam to be making any discounts - not for game anniversaries, not for holidays, no summer or spring sales, no nothing.

The Season Pass was on sale 1 month ago. I bought it of course.

I was already using this option, and the game is Frostpunk, not the GOTY Ed. Of course i can use the DLC in the menù.
