Good morning, y'all.

Just chiming in to inform you that we have gone ahead and uploaded the 1.1 patch for Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone.

Here's a list of changes:

Fixes for Patch 1.1
-------------------------
- Gemspark Mines, the first set of Orcs now completely spawns.

- Chapter 5, the raft no longer sinks to the bottom of the river after traveling some distance. After this point, the user is unable to continue the gameplay after this point.

- Completing the game, starting a New Game, and starts the intro IGC for Battlefield, the audio will now play.

- Install the game, selects Load Game, game saves no longer appear in the five slots in the Load Game screen.

Let us know in case you have any questions, comments, concerns, or technical issues and enjoy your game :D.
Wow. I'm surprised to see a patch for a game this age. Thank you!

DLed and tried to run it but get a message saying "the patch does not support your version of the game, please download a new" and the rest is cut off.

Win7 64 bit. I've installed the game on a separate drive from the OS, and run the patch installer as admin.
I get the same message.
Oh, looks like this was fixed.

We uploaded an improved patch that will no longer give you anymore trouble. It needed some additional conditioning :D. Sorry for the trouble.

DLed again, ran it, same problem. I'll try again in a half hour or so just in case I jumped the gun too fast on the re-DL.
same issue... patch says it does not support my version of the game.
Got a flag for a game update so downloaded the 2.0.1 universal update patch ... which shows as 2.0.1.10 exe when it is downloaded and clicking on it gives an error message (which is cut off on both sides of the window) saying does not support my version of the game. So I am redownloading the game which has a 2.0 installer (which is showing as a 2.0.0.9 exe) in attempt to get the updater fixes to the game ... IF in fact this 2.0.1 installer Universal update IS the 1.1 patch ... I don't know !!!
This is confusing and should not be necessary to redownload the game to apply a patch ...
Too confusing and like I said ... The wording for the error that comes up isn't even composed properly to fit into the error window box ...
BUT what other recourse is there if we want the fix the Update makes to the game (which sounds like it has a death dealing bug with the raft which is fixed with the 1.1 update) .. If we want the game to work then we need to download.
But question also remains IS the 1.1 patch indeed in the 2.0.1 installer???
Anyways, download is done so going to try to update the game Again.
EDIT>>>
Noticing the game I uninstalled so I can reinstall using 2.0 installer to Reinstall to get the Update to work was in the GOG.com Folder and the New download is installing to the Gog Games folder ... Maybe the patches don't find the game if the older version of the installer puts it into a different folder than the New version of the installer does.
hmmmmmm ....
EDIT>>>
Probably so ... the Universal Update updated the newly downloaded game with no problem ... So the updaters look for the game in a particular folder ??? and doesn't exactly Look for the game itself ???
this whole process could be simpler somehow ... shouldn't have to redownload the whole game to install an update and if that was the case then the game should have the update already applied .... IMO

((( BUT THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE and Bug fixes just the same )))

Simbabluenobi: *snip*
Thanks for the detailed post. I'm currently DLing the installer again and will see if I can get it to update with a fresh install.
Yep, still doesn't work. If downloading the game itself fixes this I'll do that then. 1.7gig aren't that big but I'll still rather wait for an update. ^^
Same problem with the patch here downloaded again 5 mins ago and still will not install.

So I have re-downloaded the game.

Can anyone tell me 1) where the saves are stored and 2) will the old saves work with the new patch if I reinstall the game?

Thanks
I haven't downloaded the patch yet, but if Simbabluenobi's post is any indication, could the install problems simply be a case of pointing the patch at the correct installation directory? Does the patch even have that option or does it try to auto-detect the game installation?

The 1.1 patch has actually been available for a very long time, it just wasn't included in the GOG release until now.

Thanks. I guess I should have been able to figure that one out come to think of it. lol

So, it sounds like the patch is still screwed up at this point. I guess I will await further news.

Just a suggestion for Judas... when a corrected working patch installer is finally available, could you flag it as NEW again on the Shelf? That would be helpful.
Hey guys,

Sorry about all this hassle but the patch should be good now. Apparently there was some server trouble and there were still older versions being presented to our users. All should be fixed now.

Again we apologize for the inconvenience...
