So I un-installed/re-installed. Un plugged my keyboard. Checked for updates. Ran in addmin mode. Problem still remains. In the menu options, the option selection box countinued to scroll without input. in game the character sidestep left without input. Any suggestions??

Do you have an controller (or joystick) plugged in as well? Unplug them if so. If that is not the case, do you have spare keyboard you could just try on instead?
