I know there's a Fallout 1 mod faq, but it's not very clear which mods to install for the best experience. Also, I was also read that the gog version is the UK version, so will these mods even work properly?

All I ask is for a proper mod guide for Fallout 1.

Thanks.
If you never played Fallout, do yourself a favor and DO NOT use any mod.
Only the official patches. Reason: Only this way you learn about the real Fallout. How it is, what it makes so special. When you run through a 2nd or 3rd time, you might take mods but before would destroy you a lot.

Completely agree... don't do it. It will ruin your life.
You don't need any mods, I even played the unpatched Version and enjoyed it, so you really don't have to install any mods, some of them can ruin your gaming experience.

If you're playing gog version be sure to install children patch. It's not a mod but without it the game is kind of incomplete.

I'd advise just the widescreen resolution mod. Not to play it in super high resolution but just a little higher then what the game starts you on. Just makes it look a little nicer and a little easier to get around.

I agree. If you have the censored european version installing the children or bloodpatch will restore the original with some killable children running around in some locations of the game. It won't change gameplay, so do as you wish.
