I can't seem to disable them with Repair at 59%. I have a Tool in my inventory, and I've even tried using the Tool itself (just in case having it in my inventory doesn't give the an auto-boost to Repair). I'm trying to disable the yellow forcefield by placing my Repair cursor directly on the forcefield itself, so maybe I'm doing that wrong...because I literally kept trying until it eventually killed me, one handful of HP at a time.
Help?

You need to use Repair on the emitter (object just next to the forcefield), not the forcefield itself.
That said, I don't guarantee that 59% will be enough ;)
EDIT: Although, if I remember correctly, yellow fields can be brought down by hacking computer nearby.

Look for a metal desk, there should be a paper with a password (SKYWOVSKY, or something similar), just use the password and you have granted acess to the first floor. If Skynet joins your group, it disable all forcefields, for all floors.
For more help at SAD, I recommend you to read this:

About trying to disable forcefields with repair skill, if your skill isn't good enough, you can set the difficulty level to EASY, if you are at NORMAL, or EASY/NORMAL, if you are playing in HARD difficulty. This will raise your skill percentage. After using repair, you can go back to the difficulty level it was before.

Thiev got what I was looking for. And just FYI, I failed 3 times with 59% Repair & set off the robot guards. But when I used the Tool, I made it on my 2nd try.
Drelmanes, I should've specified that I'd already found the password to the 1st level forcefields. But yeah, I pretty much WORSHIP that Fallout walkthrough website. For some reason, I just couldn't figure out that I needed to Repair the emitter...although, now that I think about it, its probably because the Manipulate icon doesn't come up on it.
