I apologize if this has been answered before, searching turned up nothing, but how do you rescue Vic from the slaver's guild if you have low (sub-4) Intelligence? I have the radio but the only option Metzger gives me is to become a slaver. Is my only other alternative to use brute force?

You can use mentats to increase your INT temporarily. You can find this drug in many cities: New Reno, Broken Hills, Vault City, Redding.

Brute force is pretty much your only option. Presumably a low intelligence character would just understand that Vic is there. Not be able to put together the idea that gathering parts for Vic will help him get out. If you are low level and worried about a tough fight there is a way to make it a little easier. Your character may be too dumb to plan ahead but you don't have to be.



Get as much jet as you can. Give Metzger and his goons 1 hit each. Wait for 15 minutes and they will all be too jet lagged to fight back. Some would consider this cheating however, so make your own call there.

True, mentats will get you the additional options to solve this quest plus many others. But to me taking mentats to solve a quest sort of defeats the purpose of playing a low intelligence character.
