I found this site because they were offering Fallout for free, and I decided to download it. Now that I've fallen in love with the series, I wanted Fallout 2. I saw that Fallout 2 was on sale for a while, but I was still working on the first game so I put off buying it.

Now that it's no longer on sale, I ask the question: when will it be on sale again? Should I not even hold my breath and but the sequel right now?
Well they do a sale on a group of games (usually from the same publisher) almost every weekend, and they often have a gem promo (for a single game) in the middle of the week as well. But when and how often an individual title goes on sale really depends. Some things go on sale relatively often, while other things only go on sale during Christmas, or never at all. However, since the Fallouts were on sale just recently, I wouldn't expect them to go on sale again for at least a couple of months.

It's still only $6, though, so it's hardly going to break the bank, and it's an awesome game. If you liked the first game, you're almost guaranteed to like the second.
They have sales quite often, but given that they just had a sale on Fallout 2 I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to go on sale again anytime in the near future. I would say go ahead and get it because even at it's regular price it is still a great game. Especially if you like the first one. There were alot of improvments made to companions, there were a lot of added weapons, there are a lot more perks and the level cap was raised to 99. Basically Fallout 2 is like Fallout 1 on Buffout.

I'd expect Fallouts to be on sale again someday, I'd give 50-50 chance for this year, either summer or christmas sale. Basically you'll have to ask yourself what kind of financial situation you're in and if saving $3 is worth waiting for half a year or more? :)

Me? I've been a clever boy and bought everything half interesting if I see it on a sale. 50 untouched games waiting on GOG and Steam and I'd expect to play at least 5-10 of them in the next 5 yrs or so... x_____X

This.
Fallout 2 flows on from F1.
Get F2, then apply the Restoration Project patch, and we'll see you back here in 2 months after you finish all it has to offer :)

2 Months? I have been playing Fallout 1&2 for about 15 years and I'm still finding stuff!
So I bought the game and I'm loving it! It's very fun and was worth the 6 bucks. Of course it would have been double sweet to have it for 3 bucks but for a game like this it's worth every penny.

Thanks for talking me into getting it now!
