Hey guys,

After beating FO:T on tough guy in normal mode, I'd like to give it a try on tough guy - insane. However, I get my butt kicked big time and have not yet managed to even open the first (!) door in mission 1. Sometimes I manage to kill the first three raiders, but number 4 kills one of my team mates and that's that.

To beat the whole mission, I guess I need some different tactics altogether. Any advice from you expert gamers out there? I am playing a sniper team (no HtH), but obviously their marksmanship sucks in mission 1 on insane.

Thanks so much for any advice how to beat this mission, every bit of info helps! Or any links to tough guy - insane walkthroughs, I haven't managed to find one.

Come on guys, there ARE pros who know how to beat this mission - don't be shy! Share your wisdom!
To beat the mission 1,you need to sneak at all time, plan, and keep a safe distance from enemy,Farsight's Hunting Rifle is a important weapon in mission 1,the safe distance is around 30%-40% accuracy(Don't get to closer to enemy unless you can beat them,in insane they got very high critical rate which can kill you in one shot.),don't worry about the ammo,Farsight got plenty. And the shotgun is the highest damage weapon in mission 1,use wisely
P/S Better play in turn-based mode, unless you are expert on this game,or quick-thinking..

never played on the harder or hardest settings. aren't those settings in strategy games usually all about the AI cheating a lot or getting so much armor it's like facing an army of bosses? i don't really get the appeal.

anyways, how about downloading the racial mod, so you can make a perfectly minmaxed sniper with a ghoul main character? or make a robot, since robots are the toughest "race" in the game. but using a robot main will make later missions tougher due to minimum charisma of 1 (can't hire the better recruits earlier).
