Hi Guys,

So i own all of the Fallout series (Fallout 1, 2, Fallout tactics, & 3). I have never played a fallout game and i was wondering, which one should i play first? (Does it matter if i have to play in order?). Correct me if i'm wrong, but i heard that Fallout 3 has nothing to do with the other games (Fallouts). Which game should i try out first?

Play Fallout 1 first, then Fallout 2

Fallout Tactics is not really part of the story line, is more like a Chess game in the Fallout Universe, but if will spoil the fun of Fallout 1, if you play it before having played Fallout 1
Yep.

Fallout 1
Fallout 2

Tactics

As AllGamer said, Tactics is not really the same thing as the first two. Play it last.
Fallout 1
Fallout 2
Fallout 3 (has little to do with the previous games. It's a (very) different thing, you don't need to play the previous games to understand the story, but I recommend that you do, they're amazing)
Fallout New Vegas (a lot of references about FO1/FO2, some of the characters are back, like Marcus from FO2. You won't understand some things if you haven't played FO1 and 2)

Avoid Fallout Brotherhood of Steel at all cost, it's shit.
Have you played Jagged Alliance before? If it's the type of game you like, I recommend Fallout Tactics to you.

Wasteland 2 is the true successor to Fallout 1+2, not Fallout 3, or NV. So play that after you've played Tactics, or before, whatever. IMO.

But of course, play Fallout 1+2 first, in order. No doubts.
