The children patch and high resolution patch from the list has been removed
Nah, the files haven't been removed they just have new links. You can find them all here:

Oh ok. I just wanted to make sure that people knew they were still available and avoid confusion. But the list needs to be updated.
Okay, someone really needs to go back and update the OP with new links. I highly recommend adding the FIXT link http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=57362 as it seems to have the least amount of problems. FIXT is recently (Sept 30, 2012) updated, so that should make people comfortable.

Indeed they should and indeed FIXT seems to be the best solution! Thanks for caring!

You should contact GOG staff/support directly as I doupt they have time to check every post in the forums. PM'ing Rysa might not work as he is no longer listed as part of GOG staff (wether or not the list is up to date, I've no idea).

To speed things up, you should provide them working links so they won't have to hunt them down.
No FIXT is not a solution.

It modifies the game with all kinds of bullshit. If only the creator made all those extra modifications optional so it could also be used as a one installation fix, but he seems to have no interest in giving us that option.

Umm, you do know that you can download and install all those mods individually if you don't like FIXT?
Nuts, just when I was about to play this game many of the mods links are dead :(
Thanks for the links to FIXT, can just disable the non-canon stuff I believe.

Not all of the stuff, but you can disable the most game changing changes.
There's a new version of FIXT out now, and all the extraneous stuff is optional.

To be honest though, I don't understand the angry reaction. There was never all that much modded stuff in FIXT, and what there was was pretty good and made the game more convenient to play. In any case, you can leave it out with the new version if you want to.
FIXT 6.1 is online.
New version of the Hi Resolution patch is out.
