I can't get that to work. I install Fallout 1, I then install FIXT, and it wants me to insert the Fallout CD to play.
Which I obviously don't have.
Did you read this part?
For 64-bit OS users: FalloutW.bat won't work (it runs a 16-bit exe) so you'll need to run "64-bit OS.bat" to play instead. thelovebat:
You have to use the 64-bit OS.bat file to launch the game with Windows Vista or 7 64 bit machines, you don't try running the game using the GOG shortcut or the normal executable otherwise the FIXT compilation won't work. That's probably the issue.
Here is the fix:
Step 1: Go to your FO1 install folder, copy CRITTER.dat and MASTER.dat
Step 2: Go to your FIXT install folder (should be something like C:/Games/Fallout FIXT)
Step 3: Paste CRITTER.dat and MASTER.dat - now the .exe file will work, also the 64-bit-OS.bat file will work now. You can launch using either.
