Which version is better ?

Canopus: Which version is better ?
Contentwise there should be no difference. Wether or not you can get the CD version to actually run is another matter entirely. GOG verion SHOULD work on most Windows operating systems from XP up out of the box.

There is one problem with GOG FO1 in that it's the censored version. There, however, is patch available for this.

Depends what you're looking for. I host most of the basic ones on my site (fallout folder in downloads section) but don't have room for the larger ones (Fallout 1 'megamod': Fallout FIXT and Fallout 2 Restoration Project).

If you want strictly official content get "fallup121rc3.7z". It'll restore children and remove other censorship (see readme for specifics). If you want all the major mods for either games in one easy install use FIXT for Fallout 1 and Restoration Project for Fallout 2.

Oh and the sticky topics should contain anything else you might want.

There's new version of Fallout 2 Restoration in development (currently in open beta). But stable release may take awhile.
